Now there is a huge assortment of them. However, store-bought toys need to be updated periodically if there are small children or animals in the house. Those made independently, firstly, are durable, and secondly, they bring warmth and homeliness to the decor of the spruce tree.

There are several ways to make home decorations. However, the most common and simplest is making it from paper.

Three ways to make a New Year's ball with your own hands

Making a ball at home is quite simple. This requires a minimum of materials and a little free time. It also requires imagination and accuracy in execution.

Option one

To do this you will need paper of several colors, a stapler, glue and thin wire. The more flowers are taken to make, the more elegant and festive the resulting balls will be.

Execution steps:

• First you need to cut out circles of the desired diameter. You need 12 of them in total. To give it a circle shape, you can take a glass and trace it on paper. Then cut out the resulting circles;
• Each of the resulting circles must be bent in half, and then folded into one pile. In this case, you need to alternate colors.If we number the colors and assume that the first color is 1, the second is 2, the third is 3, then it should turn out like this: 122331122331;
• Next, the circles need to be fastened with wire along the fold line. The ends of the wire must be twisted together. If there is no wire, you can use a stapler;
• After which the circles need to be straightened and glued together according to the scheme: the circle is glued to one adjacent at the top, and to the second at the bottom;
• The resulting ball must be straightened, giving it the desired shape, and a ribbon or thread must be attached on top, with which it will be hung on the tree;

Option two

To do this, you will need a stencil, which you can download on the Internet or carefully redraw yourself. There are many options for ready-made stencils. But you can show your imagination and come up with them yourself. You also need scissors, glue and ribbon.

If this procedure is performed using a color printer, then you can print the stencil directly on colored paper.

• After the stencil is ready, it must be transferred to thick colored paper or cardboard;
• Blanks of colored paper must be laid out in the shape of a flower. The center of the resulting flower must be secured with a small circle of colored paper;
• Next, the petals made of colored paper need to be very carefully intertwined with each other;
• The ends of the resulting tapes must be glued together;
• In the center of the resulting ball, where the circle was previously glued, you need to make a small cut. You need to place a ribbon in it, by which the balls will be hung on the New Year's tree;

IMPORTANT! To make the toy look more festive, you need to take paper of different colors.

Method number three

If you need to slightly diversify the appearance of your Christmas tree decorations and dilute the balls with something else, you can make Chinese lanterns.

To make lanterns you will need: colored paper, scissors, glue and ribbon or thread.

REFERENCE! It is advisable to take paper in contrasting colors. For example, yellow and purple, or white and red.

Execution technology:

• From two sheets of paper of different colors, you need to cut out rectangles. One should be a little larger - 120x800 mm, the second 100x800 mm;
• The first rectangle must be rolled into a tube and its edges glued;
• The second one needs to be folded in half and several cuts made in the middle part, retreating the same distance from the edges;
• Next, you need to roll it into a tube, like the first sheet, and glue the edges;
• If everything was done correctly and carefully, the first tube should fit into the second. There is no need to insert the tube all the way right away. First you need to cover its edges with glue so that it stays inside the second pipe;
• To give the resulting flashlight a more natural look, you can make a handle. To do this, you need to cut a strip out of thick colored paper or cardboard and then glue it to the flashlight;

With the help of simple manipulations, a minimum amount of materials, imagination and creativity, you can make beautiful and unusual New Year's decorations.
