How to decorate a Christmas tree with ribbons

On the eve of the New Year, the question of how to beautifully and uniquely decorate a spruce tree is especially acute. There are a lot of interesting objects and methods for this. Moreover, a variety of garlands, cute figures, and bright balls are not the only options. Various ribbons can serve as an unusual, charming New Year's decoration.

To beautifully decorate a tree for the New Year, it is not enough to hang the original material on it; you need to give them an original shape. Ribbon tree decoration is divided into two types: in its original form using different sewing techniques or a method in which Christmas tree balls are made from ribbons.

Using solid tapes

There are several variations for decorating a New Year's tree with this material:

• Spiral method. With this variation, the beginning of the canvas is located at the top, and ends on one of the branches of the lower tier. This method is good, but for a more attractive appearance additional sewing techniques are required: gathering, periodic tucks, and so on. • Kanzashi method. This method involves the use of a special handicraft technique, in which ribbon blanks are folded in a certain way and secured with glue into a single piece.

What colors to choose for decoration

When determining the appropriate color scheme for the New Year's tree decoration, you should adhere to the following criteria:

• Use ribbons of the same color.This rule can manifest itself in two versions: the same color for all Christmas tree decorations or a play on contrast, when the ribbons serve as a kind of shade to the main color scheme;
• Use of canvases of various colors. With this method, you need to use bright, matching colors;

What ribbons to use for decoration
