A DIY artificial Christmas tree at home will turn out almost like a real one if you decide to make it from corrugated paper. It is worth saying that this method is very quick and simple, and you do not need any specific materials for manufacturing. Prepare paper of the appropriate color and wire.
Now you can start making:
- To make an artificial Christmas tree from corrugated paper, you need to cut strips 6–7 cm wide.
- Roll each strip several times.
- On the one hand, you need to cut into strips, do not reach the second edge. The width of the stripes should be approximately 0.5 cm. You should get something like a fringe.
- Now each strip needs to be rolled with your fingers. This way you should get thin needles.
- Wrap fringe strips one at a time onto the spiral wire.You should end up with separate branches of pine needles.
- Make the branches longer for the lower part of your Christmas tree, and for the upper part, the branches should be, on the contrary, shorter.
- Collect 3-5 branches into a three-dimensional branch and secure with wire.
- Place the assembled Christmas tree on a pre-prepared stand, it can be some kind of piece of wood in which you will need to drill a hole for fastening.
- Correct the branches.
That's all, your Christmas tree is ready and looks like a real one. All that remains is to decorate it; you can also make toys with your own hands.
We work with cardboard
Another version of the eco-style Christmas tree can be made from ordinary cardboard.
- To make it you will need to draw or print a stencil. You will need to make at least eight such modules.
- Each piece must be folded in half and the Christmas tree glued together. It's something like modular origami. If necessary, trim the modules.
- All edges of the workpieces should be punched with a hole punch. To do this accurately, apply the markings using a ruler and pencil.
- Spray your workpiece with white paint, but do not apply it very tightly. It is advisable to achieve the effect of being dusted with snow.
- Cover the edges with white yarn; a narrow ribbon will also work.
- Cut out a star from cardboard and also paint it with white paint. To make it bright and shiny, grease the surface with PVA glue and sprinkle with glitter.
That's all, after very simple steps, your DIY artificial Christmas tree is ready. This is an unusual and very interesting option.
Making a Christmas tree from ready-made branches
In stores you can purchase individual fir branches, which are used to decorate rooms. In skillful hands they can be used very interestingly; you can create a Christmas tree with your own hands. Often such branches are left as an inheritance, but the frame of the artificial Christmas tree is broken or lost long ago. In this case, you should try to create a New Year symbol with your own hands.

- Connect the upper rods together and secure them with a cable tie. As a result, you should form a cone with an acute angle.
- Now wrap the resulting frame with the existing branches. If they are soft, fastening can be done using ties, and excess ends can be removed using wire cutters.

Making a Christmas tree from bags
You can make a bright symbol of the New Year with your own hands using oilcloth or ordinary green bags. This should be a small product; it can be placed on the New Year's table.
Now you can proceed directly to the manufacturing process:
- Cut the oilcloth into strips 3 cm wide, but the lengths should be different.
20 and 15 cm - 6 pcs.
10 and 5 cm, 4–6 pcs.
3 cm - 5 pcs.
REFERENCE. By changing the number of strips, you can adjust the pomp of the product.
- Each piece should be folded in half and cut along the edges, thus creating a fringe.
- Cut a piece from the wire, it should be twice the size of your strip of cellophane. Roll the wire into two layers and place it in the center of the tape.
- Twist the wire and ribbon carefully, while straightening the fringe. Complete all other branches in exactly the same way.
- Now it's time to tackle the pillar. Prepare the stick, clean it and level it.
- Dilute the alabaster as indicated on the package and pour it into a jar, placing the prepared barrel in the same place. Leave to dry.
All that remains is to collect all the branches onto the base and decorate your product. The Christmas tree is ready, you can install it in a prominent place of honor in your home.
