The standard was calculated based on the average height of a person and is advisory in nature. It takes into account how high the user can lift their leg without experiencing difficulty. Individual differences may influence the set value:

• if the house has short residents, children, elderly people, disabled people, the indicator can be reduced by an average of 100 mm;
• in preschool, school, and medical institutions, installation of equipment with a parameter of 500 mm is provided;
• For tall people, on the contrary, specimens with an increased value (up to 700 mm) are suitable.

Does the height depend on the type of model?

The installation method determines the features of the selection of models:

• with a metal frame. Used for steel and acrylic structures, protects against deformation.Standard values ​​or fixation at a different, optimal distance are suitable here;
• using a podium. It is constructed from bricks, blocks, etc. In this case, an additional step may be required so as not to exceed the permissible values;
• on legs. They are produced solid or adjustable, as a rule, the length of these elements is up to 200 mm.

How is the height adjusted?

There are 3 types of materials from which plumbing fixtures are made, and each of them makes its own adjustments to the installation process:

1. Cast iron products. They have legs and are distinguished by significant weight; they require determining the required size even before starting work, because after work it will be difficult to change the position. Rigid supports are used that do not allow for adjustments. It is possible to raise the structure higher by using wooden (or steel) pads. Place the tank at a distance from the wall or in the center of the room.
2. Steel accessories. They are less massive and are often equipped with adjustable legs or brackets. They are characterized by instability and require the support of at least one wall. There are exclusive options with an unchangeable parameter.
3. Acrylic models. The lightest option, they fit perfectly on metal frames; the supplied legs are not equipped with an adjustment mechanism, but they can be easily replaced with adjustable analogues. In this case, you will always carry out the correction to the desired size.

Important! The greatest convenience is provided by sliding screw supports; they can be adjusted according to the rules or at your discretion.
