Our people constantly have to solve the problem of how to cram everything they need into a small room - for example, into a bathroom.

In a small area you need to manage to place a bath or shower, a washing machine and small furniture, and perhaps also a toilet. Many people don’t even know how to choose the right shower stall for their small plumbing room. So they endure all the inconveniences.

Features and benefits of shower cabins

The optimal solution for arranging a plumbing room, if its dimensions are not able to amaze the imagination, would be to install a shower stall. But, as with any other purchase, you need to understand all the advantages and disadvantages of this device.

What is attractive about this device is the following:

• no need to wait until the container is filled - you can wash right away;
• in addition to the main purpose, the cabins have extensive additional capabilities;
• low sides of the structure make it easy to get inside;
• the risk during operation is minimal: the pallet material does not slip, there are handrails inside, some models are equipped with seats;

Of course, there are also disadvantages. Where are they not? These include:

• the cost is higher than that of a bath;
• stretching out to your full height and soaking in warm water is clearly not possible;
• many functions directly depend on water pressure;
• most of the pallets cannot be adapted for washing things;
• constant and careful care is required.

Criteria for choosing a shower in a small bathroom

A good option for a modest-sized bathroom would be a shower stall.. For such a room, you can choose one of the models ranging from 80 by 80 centimeters to 160 by 75 centimeters. These are quite convenient and durable structures, and the pallets, as a rule, have an oblong appearance.

But before you start destroying everything in the bathroom, it’s a good idea to consult with knowledgeable people. Most likely, all communications will have to be changed and new pipes installed, wiring and sockets with switches replaced. Armed with a tape measure, you will need to “conquer” literally millimeters of usable space.

You should immediately abandon options with swing doors. This opening mechanism takes up a lot of space. Give preference to models with transparent glass - this will create the impression of lightness.

Before paying for a purchase, test it, in case something doesn’t suit you.

• bend down as if you are placing something.

The most compact shower room has dimensions of 60 by 60 centimeters. Pallets of smaller dimensions are simply not produced, since there is no point in them.

The most common sizes are 70 by 70, as well as 80 by 80 centimeters. It is the latter option that is more convenient to use, so it would be better to opt for it.

The pallets themselves for small rooms vary in height. This is just as important as size. Depth affects the following:

• how convenient it will be to use the device;
• what its functions will be.

Low sides eliminate the need to lift your feet high to get inside. For older people, it is generally better to choose a flat tray. It will also be convenient for people with various diseases of the musculoskeletal system.

But here you need to remember that pallets with a flat bottom are mounted on the floor, and a pipe must pass below and a siphon must be installed. And it is not always possible to do just that. This explains why the bowl is placed on some elevation and the sides are simply necessary to prevent water from pouring onto the floor.

In terms of their capabilities, high-sided pallets are preferable. They allow you not only to take a shower, but also, after collecting water, to wash clothes and even give your baby a bath. If a bathtub simply does not fit into the room, then a tray with a high side is an ideal option.
