Dark spots on the LCD TV screen
A TV, like any equipment, can break down or start working incorrectly. This is not affected by the price or the manufacturer. Many factors can lead to defects or device failure. One such defect is dark spots on the TV screen.

Reasons for the appearance of dark spots on the LCD TV screen
Often the spots are initially very small and almost invisible. Gradually they increase in size, significantly distort the image or cover part of the broadcast image.
The main reasons that lead to the formation of dark spots are:
- If a dark spot appears within a short period of time after purchase, this indicates a manufacturing defect.
- Often stains occur due to external influences. The matrix of the device is very fragile and any mechanical impact affects its integrity.
- Air. Sometimes air gets into the device during transportation, which causes pixels to burn out. Very often, dead pixels begin to spread across the entire screen area.
- Moisture. If cleaning is done incorrectly, if an overly damp cloth is used, moisture can enter the device body and further penetrate into the matrix.
- Temperature. The matrix does not tolerate high temperatures. If for some time some part of it was exposed to temperature, this led to its delamination and, as a consequence, the appearance of a stain.
REFERENCE. If a defect is discovered after purchase, the device must be immediately returned to the store while it is still under warranty!
How to fix dark spots on the screen
If the stain is caused by moisture, then it is necessary to rinse the matrix. To do this, you need to take a special detergent.
REFERENCE. Ordinary running water is not suitable for washing the matrix. It contains small abrasive particles of various impurities, which will remain on the layers of the matrix and will be visible in the future.
The room where the matrix will be cleaned must have good ventilation. This way you can avoid settling on its parts. It is advisable to additionally use a humidifier. All work must be done with soft gloves.
If the problem is in the matrix itself, then it needs to be replaced. The surest and most reliable option is to contact a professional in a specialized workshop.
But if the user has fairly good skills in repairing electrical products and all the necessary tools and materials, the faulty part can be replaced independently.
To do this you need:
- Prepare a workplace and all the tools necessary for work.
- Disconnect the device from power.
- Using the required screwdriver, remove all bolts and then dismantle the housing.
- Carefully disconnect the wires and cables.
- Unscrew the bolts and remove the faulty part.
- Install a new matrix and perform all steps in reverse order.
IMPORTANT. If the warranty period has not yet expired, it is prohibited to carry out independent repair work!
In any case, the cost of a new part is almost equal to the cost of the TV itself. Therefore, it would be more advisable to purchase a new device.
