TV stand dimensions
Old CRT TVs, bulky and heavy, required a solid stand. And when they were replaced by thin and light TV receivers, it began to seem that cabinets would cease to be in demand. However, this piece of furniture, stylish and functional, does not lose popularity. In addition, it allows you to easily move the TV to another location if necessary.

Shapes and sizes of modern TV stands
Before you start buying a cabinet, you need to choose its size and find out the diagonal of the TV. A TV receiver that is too large will protrude beyond the boundaries of the stand, which is unsafe. After all, due to its light weight, it’s easy enough to accidentally push the TV off the bedside table. A small device will be visually lost on an overly bulky stand. Once the dimensions are known, you can begin choosing the shape of the cabinet.
There are several options:
- In the form of a stand. This option is convenient because the TV is mounted on a bracket mounted into the bedside table. Thanks to the presence of a holding device, the receiver receives additional stability; it can be adjusted in height and the angle of the screen position can be changed. The stand is also equipped with a special channel for the location of wires.
- Regular stand. Does not have any additional functions other than holding the TV.It is usually small in size and can be equipped with a maximum of a couple of shelves. This option is good for small rooms.
- Dresser. A bedside table combined with a decently spacious storage system. May be of different heights. Low ones are usually installed in the living room, while taller models are suitable for the bedroom. Very often, such chests of drawers come as part of a furniture set that looks like old “walls”. However, unlike the latter, the upper tiers of the chest of drawers can be fixed at the desired height.
- Wall-mounted. It is attached to the wall and has several additional drawers. Thanks to its design, it visually makes the room larger and does not clutter it up, therefore it is well suited for small rooms.
- Corner. The best option for small areas.
There are three varieties based on height:
- Low up to 45 cm. Look very good in rooms designed in high-tech, loft or minimalist style.
- Medium stands up to 70 cm. The most common and versatile version of a bedside table. Made from various materials and in any design.
- Up to 120 cm in height. In appearance and functionality they are more like a small wall.
Benefits of installing TV stands
Nightstands have a number of advantages:

- do not take up much space in the room;
- a large range of models - you can choose a bedside table to suit any desired design, from classic style to modern high-tech;
- a variety of materials are used in production: solid wood, chipboard, MDF, plastic, metal, glass;

What to consider when choosing a cabinet
When purchasing this piece of furniture, you need to take into account some nuances:
- it must be combined with the overall design of the room and match its color scheme;
- the size must fit the diagonal of the TV;
- the piece of furniture must be functional and have additional storage space;
- the cabinet must be made of high-quality material that has good resistance to loads;
- the stand should be at a comfortable height for viewing.
ATTENTION! If you have difficulty choosing the required height, you can use a little trick. Close your eyes for a few seconds, then open them and remember where your gaze fell. This is where the middle of the screen should be.
The range of modern cabinets is very wide and allows you to choose the ideal option without any problems.
