TV clicks and won't turn on

We are already so accustomed to the presence of televisions in the house that the failure of this device often drives us into a stupor. One of the possible malfunctions is a situation where it does not turn on at all, although some clicks are heard from it.

Why does the TV not turn on and still clicks?

To understand this problem, you need to remember a little about the principle of operation of the device. The electrical signal enters the device through a cable that is connected to an antenna, receiver or provider equipment. Using several microcircuits, it is converted into the appropriate code and projected onto the screen as an image, and the sound signal is sent to the speakers. The viewer enjoys watching a movie or show.

But all this is only possible if the TV is connected to the mains and is working properly. When things don't go beyond a click when turning on, the problem is probably in the power supply. There are several possible reasons for the problem:

1. The result of the protection system. All modern models are equipped with a unit that blocks the TV from turning on if it has a serious malfunction. This triggers the relay (hence the click), runs a system check, detects a problem, and shuts down the program and turns off the power. From the outside, this looks exactly like the situation described.
2. The device has not been used for a long time.This problem is especially typical for a number of older LCD TV models. Here, in addition to clicks, there may be other extraneous sounds. The screen may sometimes work, but the image often has defects.
3. The problem is in the power supply. With intensive use, components in this part of the device wear out over time. At first, after a series of clicks, the screen will light up, but soon the TV may fail completely.

These are the most common reasons, but there are many more of them, although they are less common.

The entire procedure can be represented as an algorithm:

1. Unplug the TV and pack it in a box with documents and power cable. Try to fill the voids with polystyrene foam or foam rubber.
2. Deliver the TV to the service center and hand it over to the technician for inventory. In this case, you will fill out an application and leave your contact information.
3. Wait for the call, agree on the repair procedure and the cost of the work, as well as the completion time.
