For what reason can you return the TV?
There are 2 reasons when a device can be returned to the store:
- You didn't like the way it worked. The device is in full working order, but something does not suit the client. You can ask for a replacement or refund within two weeks. The customer must deliver the goods to the store. The employee will make sure that the TV is undamaged and the quality is the same as on the day of purchase. It is also necessary to have all the stickers and labels that were originally there. The company will return the money or replace the device.
- The TV was damaged and it was the store's fault. In this case, you need to contact the seller, bring him the product, and explain what exactly does not work. As soon as he is convinced that there is a breakdown, he will repair or replace it.
Note! Not all TVs are products that can be returned if you don't like them. This needs to be clarified in advance.
Here you need to take into account 2 things: the presence of a guarantee and evidence that the buyer is not to blame for the breakdown.
During what period can you return the TV?
The TV is returned within 14 days from the date of purchase. But here you need to take into account the warranty period. For example, you can demand free repairs after 2 years (if the warranty allows). But asking for a replacement will no longer work.
Attention! In fact, cases when it is possible to return a TV to a store are not that frequent. It is very difficult to prove the client is right.
Return Policy
If damage is found in the device, you need to write a statement to the manufacturer. This must be done immediately, since after 2 weeks you will not be able to file a claim.
The claim consists of the following parts:
- Details of the company for which the application is being written.
- Buyer's initials.
- The address where the response is sent.
- Phone number. It is needed so that the seller can contact the client.
- Signature and date.
- Time and place of concluding a purchase agreement.
- What complaints do we have about the product?
Now we need to formulate our requirements. You can ask for the following:
- Return the money.
- Replace the TV with a device of the same or a different model.
- Ask for repairs to be made at the store's expense.
- Give a discount (its amount depends on the degree of damage).
- Pay for repairs that have already been carried out by another company.
This document will be drawn up in two copies. You need to keep one of them for yourself, and give the second to the store. The receiving employee puts a stamp or signature on your copy. There are 3 ways to submit a claim:
- Personally.
- Send by mail.
- Through an intermediary (it is necessary to issue a power of attorney for him through a notary).
An examination will be carried out. The store pays for it. But if the examination shows that the buyer is to blame for the breakdown, he must reimburse the seller’s expenses.
If it has been proven that the store is at fault, the requirements specified in the complaint must be met. If the seller still refuses to fulfill them, the client has the right to go to court.
When you can't return your TV
It is not possible to return the device if you do not report a breakdown within 14 days. The second case - it was proven that the buyer was to blame for the breakdown of the TV.
It is necessary to keep the receipt after purchase, as this is proof that the TV was purchased in this particular store.
It is recommended that you check the device thoroughly before purchasing so that there is no need to return it.
