Almost every modern apartment has a TV. Some even have to refuse to purchase a more comfortable large screen in favor of a small one, so that the TV is not the only thing that catches the eye when entering the room. Is it possible to somehow solve this problem and enjoy a large image without spoiling the interior? Build an elevator!

Why do you need a TV lift?

The elevator is a special design that fits into any piece of furniture - usually a cabinet, a small cabinet or any other fairly wide thing. The point is that you can hide the TV inside when it is not needed. To watch your favorite programs again, all you need to do is press one button and the elevator will lift the unit back up.

This way you can solve two problems at once: placing a large screen, for which it is sometimes simply impossible to find a place, and maintaining harmony in the interior. Some styles simply do not involve any modern devices, especially if they are as large as a TV. It may also be that you just don’t like the way a black screen looks against the backdrop of cute wallpaper and brightly colored furniture.

You can get rid of all this with just a simple design. It’s quite possible to do it yourself without spending a lot of time and effort. If you are careful and careful, even a beginner will be able to do everything right the first time.

How to make a lift for a TV receiver with your own hands

First you need to decide on the size. This is the most important point, because an error will completely eliminate the functionality of the design. Then prepare the materials you will need. You can purchase them at a specialty store or take some parts from an old unnecessary cabinet.

Now you can get to work. First, cut a rectangular hole from the cabinet.

IMPORTANT! Make the hole wider and longer than the TV by a few centimeters. This will avoid troubles during operation - the device will not touch the walls.

Consider the need for a lid. If you need it, you can attach a sawn board and add a special spring so that when the elevator mechanism starts, it opens on its own.

Now you need to secure the guides. Make sure they are placed parallel. The connecting element between the TV itself and the guides will be the base - you can take a sheet of plywood or other suitable material. The next step is to secure the linear actuator. It is with its help that the mechanism is put into action.

If necessary, strengthen it on several sides and take care of nutrition. Now all that remains is to attach the cable.

When the design is ready, you need to think about control. The simplest option would be an electronic relay. It can be purchased at the store and connected according to the instructions.
