What is teletext on TV

Teletext provides round-the-clock entertainment and reference information. All this information is displayed on the TV screen using a decoder. General concept

Teletext provides reproduction of textual as well as graphic components of the information flow, using the television network and displaying it on the TV monitor, taking up space in the allotted line. Displays on the TV connected to the decoder:

Data is displayed in the form of various directories, their number reaches eight. They contain up to a hundred pages, each of which has 24 lines. The text is reproduced using black and white or color format. The range of colors includes a basic color range (8 shades). They can be set to flicker or synchronized with the channel signal. The transmission speed is forty characters per teleline.

The period for displaying the entire page when opening two lines will be 0.26 seconds. That is, to download all the data, we will only need about 3.5 minutes. Since 800 pages is not a common occurrence, the processing time is even less. For example, QPT teletext is processed entirely in just 30 seconds. It is also possible to embed subtitles into the film. • Compatible with decoders that have the ability to process and store an infinite number of pages
• contains additional features that make this mode easy to use

Important! This mode is not compatible with level 1 and 1.5 tuners due to the small amount of memory and limitations in use.
