What is a connector for a watering hose?
Experts note that the connecting unit is represented by a fitting - a coupling - which is characterized by a high degree of waterproofing when creating pressure in the hoses. Modern models are convenient, quick-detachable products that easily and quickly connect pipes of various diameters and connect them to sprinklers and water taps.
PVC, metal alloys or brass are used as manufacturing materials. The first option is the cheapest and short-lived, and the strongest is brass, which can withstand pressure from 15 bar.
Plastic connectors are available and take root well in gardens. They are designed for watering beds and garden plants. The brass version is expensive and of high quality, and is more often used in industrial production, including food production.

In turn, couplings with herringbones are divided into welded, without hexagon and double. This is a convenient, quick-release and strong connection, but not universal. It is necessary to select dimensions corresponding to the diameter of the hose.
