What you need to make a hedge trimmer with your own hands

Besides the basics - gasoline saw, - should be prepared approximately one and a half meter piece of steel strip, fixing elements (bolts, nuts) and a wrench. You will also need:

sandpaper;
drill or screwdriver;
Bulgarian;
welding machine;
roulette;
vice.

During manufacture, as well as during further operation of a homemade brush cutter, it is recommended to use safety glasses.

Sequencing

First of all, using a tape measure on a steel strip, you should measure the following segments:

one - 60 cm;
three 30 cm each.

Then, holding it in a vice, you need to use a grinder to cut it into pieces according to the marks.

The above dimensions of the elements may be larger, as well as the number of short segments. Depends on how long the bar on which the saw chain is attached is.

The following actions:

in the long steel element we drill two holes approximately 20 cm from both edges - they are needed for fixing the chainsaw to the bar;
having placed the 60 cm strip horizontally, we apply short parts to it at an equal distance from each other so that they form a perpendicular with the base on both sides;
We weld all structural elements;
Using a grinder, we cut the edges of short sections at an angle;
We clean the edges with sandpaper for safety.

The nozzle itself is ready. Before fixing it to the canvas, it is worth degreasing and covering it with enamel, and for this it is convenient to use a spray can. This should be done not only to give it a more aesthetic appearance, but also to protect against corrosion.
