Folk recipes
You can fight using the following methods (we take 1 liter of water, unless otherwise indicated):
- soap solutions (washing powder, liquid, unscented laundry soap), prepared at the rate of 5 tbsp. l.;
- soap-soda suspension: crushed quarter of a bar of soap and 1 tbsp. l. mix soda in warm water;
- onion: finely chop 35 g, add water and leave for 5 hours, add a little soap, filter and add another liter of liquid;
- ash: dilute a glass of the substance into 5 liters, leave for 12 hours (or you can simply boil for half an hour, adding 40 g of soap before use);
- tobacco: boil a mug of leaves (or cigarette butts) in 5 liters, wait a day, filter;
- potatoes: chop 100 g of peel, leave for 3 hours;
- garlic: finely chop 200 g, add water, leave for 5 days, dilute the concentrate before use (25 ml per bucket).
IMPORTANT. Dilute concentrated solutions, otherwise they may damage plants. You should work with gloves, process 2 weeks before flowering or after harvesting (no later than 30 days), in the evening and in dry weather.The effectiveness of the infusion is tested in a limited area, and only then is it used on all plantings.
Plants against aphids
Repellents that repel pests:
- lavender;
- garlic;
- onion;
- mint;
- coriander;
- basil;
- cilantro;
- thyme;
- daisies.
ON A NOTE. According to gardeners, basil and cilantro bring the greatest effect. Plants should be planted next to the beds or directly on them.
Chemical treatment
The most popular drugs:
- "Spark";
- "Tanrek";
- "Aktara".
Their advantage: instant result, providing protection for up to a month or more (in dry weather).
Minuses: the impact is on both pests and other (including beneficial) insects. To avoid the death of bees, spraying is carried out before the buds open. Cannot be used during the ripening period.
Biological methods
The most effective means:
- "Fitoverm";
- "Trichopolus";
- "Aktofit";
- "Jaguar";
- "Fufanon";
- "Arrow".
pros use: harmless to beneficial insects, can be used at any time (there is only one condition - 5 days before harvesting the fruits).
Flaws: the result appears only after a week, precipitation reduces the effectiveness (additional treatments will be required). More expensive than chemicals.
It is worth remembering that chemistry penetrates into vegetables and fruits, which then end up on our table. Therefore, we recommend using natural remedies against aphids. They do not guarantee 100% effectiveness, but they reduce the number of insects to a safe level, do not harm the environment and do not accumulate in the future harvest.
