There are several ways to make a wooden tray. The original options are easy to implement and accessible to everyone.
For breakfast
Such a tray can replace a small table with legs and be used as a stand for various items. To make it you will need boards or pieces of plywood, four metal tubes, 15 mm corners - 8 pieces, 15 mm spacers - 4 pieces, varnish to cover the finished tray.
The work is carried out according to the following scheme:
- Metal tubes are cut so that the edges are smooth. You will need 2 pcs. 58 cm each, 4 pcs. 25 cm each, 4 pcs. 19 cm and 4 pcs. 6 cm each.
- Pipes of 25 cm are combined with 6 cm and glued together using corners.
- The resulting handles are applied to a wooden board and the attachment points are marked. The diameter should be equal to the circumference of the pipe.
- The countertop is cleaned with sandpaper and then covered with stain or varnish.
- Next, gaskets are glued to the drilled holes on both sides.
- The handles are threaded through them and connected to the legs.
- Two 58 cm tubes are fastened with corners. They will become a stand for the tabletop.
- At the bottom, 19-centimeter tubes for support are similarly fixed.
If you need to make a tray with folding legs, they are secured using rotating mechanisms. They also make a stopper in the form of a hook.
From a wall painting
This tray will be original and attractive. In addition to the main element, you will need decorative furniture handles, a piece of plywood that is equal to the size of the artwork, as well as fasteners and a screwdriver.
The handles are secured to the sides with self-tapping screws. Next, the picture is removed from the baguette and a piece of plywood is cut to size. A solid base for the future tray will be made from it. Glued to the base and secured back into the frame.
It is advisable to varnish the painting so that it does not deteriorate during use.
From a photo frame
The principle of making a tray is similar to the previous version. It is better to choose a product with a plywood base. If it is impossible to buy one, just get a piece of wooden blank.
Cardboard and glass are separated from the frame. Places for fastening are drilled in the baguette and handles are installed. They cut out plywood and attach cardboard and glass to it. If necessary, it is decorated with various elements or decoupage.
Out of traffic jams
This option will look unusual in any apartment. To produce it you will need at least 100 champagne or wine corks. As well as a piece of glass to match the size of the future tray and superglue.
The algorithm of actions is as follows:
- The corks are separated into two parts with a sharp knife.
- Using superglue, they are glued together to form a rectangular base.
- Plexiglas is installed on top and cut to size.
The sides can be made from leftover corks or pieces of wood left over from old furniture or a tray.
The manufacturing principle is very simple. Anyone can make an interesting piece of furniture with their own hands, which will also be useful in everyday life. It will add coziness to the kitchen and make breakfasts unforgettable.
