1. Remove the baseboard and then go over the board with a vacuum cleaner.
2. Fill all damage with special putty, which can be purchased at a specialty store. Choose the option that will best match the tone of the floor so that the use of the mixture is not noticeable. There is also a special putty that is applied to chips in a molten state, and after hardening it becomes very strong and reliable.
3. Sand the surface to perfection.
4. The final stage: apply varnish or oil, which will perform a protective function.

The repair will take some time, but as a result you will get a perfect floor that will delight you with its appearance and durability for several years to come.

Restoration of parquet with replacement of dies and elimination of squeaks

More complex repairs include replacing dies and eliminating squeaks. To do this, you will need a scraping and grinding machine, but after work the floor will look like new.

First of all, decide which dies need to be replaced. Then remove them - it is better to break from the center point to the edges, but under no circumstances insert a chisel into the gaps between them. This can easily damage the locks that connect them. To remove the squeak, you need to drill a small hole in the board and use a syringe to pour a certain amount of glue under it. Then put something heavy on top - the board will stick to the surface again and the squeak will disappear.

After this, you need to walk over the surface with a scraping machine. It is better to fill all small chips with putty. Then start sanding, and then cover the parquet with varnish or special oil.

Coating parquet with colored oil

If you decide to change the interior of the room or the board suddenly turns out to be the wrong color, do not rush to replace the floor. It is quite possible to change only the color of the coating on your own. To do this you will need to paint it with colored oil.

The first step is to thoroughly sand the floor. After the first time, inspect the entire surface and fill any cracks, if any. Then check the complete uniformity of the parquet. Then sanding must be repeated until the coating is in perfect condition.

If necessary, apply a primer - it may be needed if the type of wood from which the parquet board is made absorbs the paint unevenly. After this you can start working. Colored oil is best applied using a fine-nap roller.

IMPORTANT! Before starting painting, dry the floor thoroughly so that the paint is absorbed better and the color is uniform.

Mixtures for restoration work at home

Many people are interested in the question of how to prepare and mix mixtures correctly at home. There is nothing complicated about this - you just need to follow the step-by-step instructions, and also carefully observe all proportions.

It is important to understand that the final result of the repair depends on the quality of the mixture for restoration.

In order to prepare paper putty, you will not need many available materials. First, cut the newspaper into small pieces and fill them with water. Leave for a while, for example, overnight, and squeeze the resulting mass thoroughly.

After this, prepare a paste and pass it through gauze several times. Then add wood glue to it. This mass must be mixed with paper, after which it can be used as a putty for parquet cracks.

For small scratches, another option is suitable - you probably have some sawdust left after sanding. Mix them with varnish or resin in a ratio of 1:4. Then mix until the whole mass becomes quite viscous.

After that, apply it to the cracks. Do not forget to remove excess with a spatula so that nothing spoils the appearance of the coating. After the mixture dries, careful sanding will be required.
