How to properly install quartz vinyl laminate flooring

To lay this coating, a special adhesive composition is used for quartz vinyl tiles. Usually, this glue can be purchased without any problems at any hardware store, but if it is unavailable, it can be replaced with dispersed glue.

Apply glue to the surface using a spatula with teeth.

IMPORTANT! It is very important to apply the glue evenly so that the dried glue does not form lumps. Such bumps will certainly lead to thresholds in installation.

Room with quartz vinyl laminate interlockingIf you need to lay tiles along the wall, then planks are used. This minimizes the visibility of gaps in tile fragments under the influence of light. The best option is to lay the largest wall of the room away.

The transverse layout of squares looks more aesthetically pleasing. In addition, paths should be left for transition during installation. You should start working from the window. The very shape of the layout depends only on the designer’s intention.

Do-it-yourself vinyl laminate installation technology

Laying any type of floor covering requires a certain technology.

  • Work should begin by preparing the base. The only requirement for it is the smoothness of the surface. To fulfill this requirement, a concrete screed or the use of a self-leveling self-leveling floor is required.
  • The base is leveled using a sheet of plywood impregnated with moisture, then a primer is applied.
  • The prepared base is checked for moisture. The value should not exceed a threshold of five percent if there is a greater need to dry the coating.
  • The next step is to mark the room. You need to start by finding the center. To find it, opposite angles are connected by lines. The resulting point is the center. Drawing lines parallel to the walls, we get four rectangular sections. We start laying tiles from them.
  • The central point is determined in order to start laying from it, and then fill the corners. The center of the room should be decorated with solid slabs, while the distant areas can be laid in pieces.
  • The laying of quartz vinyl tiles with a locking connection begins from the corners. With this masonry, filling is carried out from the corners and gradually along the walls, filling the base.
