Laminate with bevel, photo in the interior

Laminate is a unique floor covering material that is very easy to match to any interior.

The products are made from individual components with the addition of wood chips. In order for the planks to imitate natural boards as much as possible, manufacturers supplement the material with visual attributes.Laminate with bevel photo in the interior

These products are very popular both among construction companies engaged in interior finishing, and among private developers. This is due to the optimal quality-price ratio. Manufacturers are constantly working on manufacturing technologies, trying to offer consumers the highest quality product.

Not long ago, another type of laminate appeared, in which each plank is equipped with a chamfer. In fact, this is a classic flooring with the ends of the lamellas slightly cut off. The shape and angle of the cut depend on the specific production technology.

Each board is equipped with a locking device, while the installation methods for each type remain unchanged, the only difference is that when arranging the floor covering, a small depression is formed between the slats, which are used to maximize the similarity of the material to a natural board.

Important! There is no fundamental difference between the installation of classic laminate and chamfered collections.

Types of laminate chamfers

The main task that the designers solved when arranging the chamfer was to make the flooring as similar as possible to the natural one. Straight lamellas, laid on the surface according to all the rules, form a smooth surface that looks artificial. Even a relief board laid without joints does not have a very colorful appearance. That’s why collections with bevels of several types appeared on sale:

  1. V-shaped – has a straight cut of a certain parameter and when the lamellas are joined, a V-shaped recess is formed.
  2. U-shaped - a shaped, aesthetic cut, which, when connecting the planks, forms a rounded recess.
  3. Shallow - with a depth of only 2 mm;
  4. Deep – has a parameter greater than 2 mm;
  5. Double-sided - the cut is located only on the long sides of the board;
  6. Quadrilateral - corners are cut off on all sides of the lamella.

The chamfer on the laminate allows the material to look closer to a solid wood board. And if such an attribute is added to narrow lamellas, they become similar to parquet.
