How to clean a carpet with vanish

It's hard to imagine a cozy home without a carpet. It not only protects your feet from the coolness of the floor, but also pleases the eye with its aesthetics, giving the interior a special charm and completeness. Or it collects dust perfectly and is reluctant to part with pet hairs stuck in the lint. And if the carpet is laid in the hallway or living room, then home owners unwittingly have to become experts in choosing dry cleaners or cleaning companies. Well, or by specialists in cleaning floor coverings at home with products such as Vanish.

Basics of preparation

The brand's products are represented by four categories of carpet cleaning products. The specifics of working with each of them include a number of nuances. But no matter which Vanish was chosen, simple rules must be followed to achieve the desired effect.

1. Before applying the product, vacuum the carpet thoroughly. It is important not to forget about the reverse side - it is also thoroughly cleaned of dust and dirt particles.
2. Before the first use, it is advisable to check the aggressiveness of Vanish on the paint. To do this, apply a small amount of it to the carpet in an inconspicuous place and leave for 5-10 minutes. If during this time the color of the coating has not changed, then you can start working. Otherwise, it is better to refuse to use an aggressive formula and look for an analogue with a milder effect;
3. The manufacturer categorically does not recommend using liquid forms of release on carpets made of materials not intended for wet cleaning (silk, handmade, etc.).

Advice from experienced users: it is better to carry out major cleaning in the warm season. This will allow the room to be well ventilated, providing optimal conditions for the carpet to dry quickly.

Instructions for use

Vanish products include products for general cleaning and for urgent removal of stains. The first group includes:

• shampoo for manual cleaning (antibacterial and simple);
• shampoo for washing vacuum cleaners;
• moistened powder.

The second group includes only active foam produced in cans.

Shampoo for manual cleaning mixed with warm (not higher than 40 degrees) water in a ratio of 1:9. Then, using a soft sponge, beat the solution until a dense foam forms. To apply it evenly by hand onto the carpet, you may need a brush with stiff bristles. After 2 hours or after the foam has completely dried, the surface treated with Vanish is thoroughly vacuumed.

Shampoo for washing vacuum cleaners Before filling the tank, dilute: 33 ml (1.5 caps) per liter of warm water. Next, the carpet is treated according to the instructions from the vacuum cleaner manufacturer.

Areas with heavy contamination can be pre-treated with Vanish solution whipped into foam, which is left on the surface until it dries completely.

Moistened powder Shake well and then spread evenly over the carpet using a brush or damp cloth. After 20 minutes it will be completely dry, after which it should be removed with a vacuum cleaner.

Active foam also requires preliminary shaking, after which it is applied to the contaminated area. After 2 hours, the treated area is thoroughly vacuumed.

Notes

When working with liquid forms of the product, you should avoid over-wetting the surface to be treated. Otherwise, there is a risk of divorce. Vanish shampoos are not interchangeable: manual cleaning product cannot be poured into a washing vacuum cleaner. And finally: don’t wait for a miracle—heavy stains won’t be eliminated the first time. Several treatments will be required, between which it is recommended to properly maintain the pause necessary for the carpet to dry completely.
