In order to remove existing contaminants, you can use store-bought products. There are a large number of them on the household chemicals market. They can be in the form of shampoo, gel, powder or spray. Some of them have additional characteristics. For example, they protect against dirt and have antibacterial properties.

They are very convenient to use, but are not very suitable if there are people with allergies in the family, as well as small children. In this case, you can use home remedies. These include:

  • Baking soda.
  • Coarse table salt.
  • Strong tea brew.
  • Pure snow.
  • Sauerkraut.
  • 9% vinegar.

Folk remedies have several advantages:

  • They are safe.In this, only expensive professional products can compete with them.
  • Price. Their cost often does not exceed 50 rubles.
  • Quality. For example, the excellent cleaning abilities of soda are well known to any housewife, because it helps to cope with even severe dirt without harming the surface.

Most of them are always at hand, so all that remains is to choose the most convenient one and start cleaning the carpet.

Carpet cleaning with home remedies is performed as follows:

  • Soda. Approximately 100 grams of soda must be diluted in a small amount of water. The water should be warm, so the soda will dissolve much better. The solution is poured into a spray bottle and applied evenly to the surface to be cleaned. After complete drying, it is enough to vacuum the carpet or sweep it thoroughly.
  • Dry carpet cleaningSalt. A lot of salt is required. It needs to be applied in a thick layer and left for a while. It will absorb dirt. After which it is swept away. All debris and hair will also be removed along with the dirt.
  • Welding. First you need to prepare the tea leaves, then drain the liquid and scatter the tea leaves on the carpet. After which the welding is removed. This option is only effective if the dirt stains are fresh and not very strong.
  • Snow. An old-fashioned method that has existed for decades. Ideal if there are small children and allergy sufferers in the house.
  • Cabbage. What you need is sauerkraut, not pickled cabbage. It must be carefully squeezed out of excess moisture and applied to dirt, then left until completely dry. When the cabbage is dry, sweep it away with a broom. Along with it, motes and fur will also be removed.
  • Vinegar.First, a solution is prepared: 2 tablespoons of vinegar must be mixed with 1 liter of water. After which, using a sprayer, it is carefully applied to the carpet and cleaned with a brush.

REFERENCE. Brushes that are used to clean any carpet must have soft bristles, otherwise the carpet will be damaged.

If cleaning is carried out using store-bought products, then you must follow the instructions indicated on the packaging. With proper and timely care of the floor covering, you can ensure that it is not only clean and pleasant to the touch, but also significantly extends its life.
