Before you start work, you need to make sure that everything you need is prepared. And for this work you will need the following:

2. Two wooden beams, wide enough and equal in length to the length of the mirror.
3. Electric drill.
4. Sandpaper.
5. Roulette.
6. Copper wire, preferably marked blue and white.
7. Double-sided tape.
8. Pliers.
9. Enamel, required colors.
10. The required number of light bulbs with a power of no more than twenty-five watts.
11. The number of cartridges is equal to the number of light bulbs.
12. Electric plug.
13. Fuses for lamps.
14. Fasteners for cartridges 2.5 centimeters long.

How to make a mirror with light bulbs: step-by-step instructions

All work on making a dressing room mirror can be divided into several logical stages.

Stage one

First of all, we take the beams and make the frame of the frame from them. The dimensions of the frame must exactly match the dimensions of the mirror, and the angles must be ninety degrees.

To make the work easier, we will use a pencil and a ruler, using them to mark the bars.

After everything is cut out, take sandpaper and clean the surface. It should be smooth so that not a single burr remains.

Stage two

So that our work does not look clumsy, and everything looks as if it was made at the factory, we need to take all measurements very carefully, mark the places where lamp sockets will be placed. There should be an equal distance between them. And only then will it be possible to prepare these holes with a drill.

Stage three

After the surface of the frame is sanded and the holes for the cartridges are made, you can paint the frame.You can choose the color at your discretion, or you can leave natural wood, just covering the material with colorless varnish.

Stage four

Now you can do the electrical wiring. We divide the wire into sections of fifteen centimeters and divide it into blue and white. We fix the wires prepared according to their length in the holes, in the same place where the cartridges will be placed. Once the job is complete, there will be two pairs of white and two pairs of blue wires located inside each hole.

Stage five

At this stage it is necessary to start installing the cartridges. The sockets for cartridges can be E27 or E14 - depending on who you prefer. This is a rather important stage and you need to carefully consider what type of lamp will look best and how many of them will be needed.

All this is needed to calculate power and correctly design electrical wiring and switches. We bring the bare ends of the wires to the cartridge and fix it. After this, we fix the cartridges in the frame.

It's time to prepare the fork. Let's use a long piece of wire. We fix one side of it to the first lamp holder, and attach the other end to the plug, while trying to follow the color marking.

We select cartridges according to our taste. It can be E27 or E14.

We install the cartridge in the prepared hole and connect the wire.

The mirror is ready, but the lamps have not yet been installed.

Important! Check that the wires do not touch each other. If during the test run any lamps do not turn on, check that the wiring is installed correctly. You'll probably have to swap wires somewhere.If after the changes made everything works stably, then the task was completed successfully. The mirror is completely ready for use.

• If a fire occurs, first disconnect the product from the power supply, and only then proceed to extinguish the fire.

If you decide to make a mirror with light bulbs around the perimeter yourself, then use the following recommendations:

• use LED lamps for lighting - they have minimal heating and require little electricity;
• take a particularly careful approach to the issue of wiring insulation - if at least one lamp fails, do not be lazy to check all the wiring;
