1. First you need to take the boards intended for the sidewalls and saw off the excess. To do this, using a ruler and pencil, you need to make markings.
2. The sides should be attached to the bottom of the future product using glue and screws. This will create a frame. You must first determine the dimensions of the product and the shape; if it is preferable to make a convex lid, then the sides on top are sawed off in a semicircle.
3. The next step is covering the walls with boards. They must be the same size and attached starting from the top, from the place where the product cover will be installed. If the sidewalls are semicircular, then you need to start gluing the boards immediately under the semicircular cut.
4. To make the lid, it is better to use narrower boards. This will make it smoother and take on the desired semicircular shape. The blanks are attached to each other and to the sides of the chest.
5. Use a jigsaw to saw off the lid along the marked lines at the place where the semicircle begins.
6. The sawn-off lid can be attached with self-tapping screws on one side to the chest, having previously been coated with varnish or stain.
7. Now you need to attach the handles to the sides and decorate it as you wish. You can decorate the chest by stuffing iron corners in the corners.
8. The last point involves the design of the interior decoration of the chest. Velvet or other dense material is suitable for this.
