Required materials and tools

To make this design, you need to prepare all the materials and tools that will be useful for the job. First, let's prepare the materials: a primer, a can of paint, a brush or roller, a metal profile, material for the countertop, timber, a can of glue and a flat surface for stencils.

ATTENTION! The primer and paint must be designed to work with metal.

Then you need to stock up on the following set of tools: a welding machine, a saw, a hammer, a screwdriver, an angle grinder with a metal brush, self-tapping screws and bolts. When everything is prepared, you can start making the table.

ATTENTION! An interesting solution for interior decoration would be a table on one leg or a console table made by yourself. Both the first and second options are perfect for a small room.

Let us consider in detail the manufacture of each product.

Table on one leg

This piece of furniture should be located near the wall, since one part of the table surface will be attached to it, and the second will rest on a metal pipe.

The dimensions of the tabletop are 1.3 m by 0.75 m. It should be located at a height of 0.9 m from the floor. To attach it to the wall you will need two inserts, between which it will be sandwiched. To assemble the table leg, you need to prepare fittings, two tubes and three flanges.

Console table

This table is very convenient and easy to assemble. To make it you will need:

  • 4 end caps, four 24" pipes;
  • six T-shaped adapters;
  • 4 fastenings for attaching legs to the tabletop;
  • two 8-inch front leg pipes;
  • four pipes for the rear legs of 5 inches and pipes so that they can be connected.

DIY forged table

Forged furniture products always look impressive and beautiful. In most cases, they are used as decoration for the yard.

To manufacture these products, you must have special tools for bending metal rods. Forging can be hot or cold, depending on the skills of the craftsman; in the first case, the products will look more aesthetically pleasing.

Stages of manufacturing a metal table with forged legs:

  1. The metal surface is cleaned of all kinds of contaminants with a steel brush.
  2. A 1:1 stencil is made on a sheet of wood.
  3. Two studs are welded, the distance between them is about 30 mm.
  4. A metal profile is inserted between the fasteners.
  5. Using a hammer, the metal is bent in places where it is necessary (using a stencil).
  6. All metal parts are assembled using a stencil and all excess is cut off.
  7. The product is welded on all sides.
  8. All parts of the product are cleaned with a brush.
  9. Pre-prepared forging elements are welded to the bent metal.
  10. Everything is cleaned with a brush, the table legs are covered with a white primer.
  11. Using special paint, this product is painted in this color.
  12. Next, the legs are screwed to the tabletop using screws, but it is important that the diameter of the hole is larger than the screw itself.
  13. In order to cover the junction of the table legs with its surface, metal corners are screwed on and secured with self-tapping screws.

ATTENTION! To make monograms, it is necessary to prepare the metal, but to take measurements, for convenience, use the most ordinary rope, which does not stretch. With its help, each turn of the pattern is measured and its size is applied to the metal surface. Forged parts are in most cases painted in colors such as black, bronze, gold or silver.

When choosing a glass tabletop, it must be secured using rubber suction cups or special glue. The metal tabletop is first welded, cleaned, and then primed and painted.
