  • Saving money;
  • Wide selection of models;
  • The ability to find the right design solution;
  • Pride in your successes.

Well, let's get to work!

Choosing the type of design to create a round table

round table designFirst, you need to decide whether it will be an indoor or outdoor table, with or without drawers, and what material it will be made of - wood, metal or plastic.

The purpose of the table is important. An outdoor table must be treated with special means, while a home table does not need this.

The choice of design, design features of the model, and various additions depends on these conditions.

The outdoor location of this furniture requires several drawers. A children's table should be tailored to the child's needs.

On a note! The table must fully satisfy the functions assigned to it.

Structurally, tables are divided into two types:

  1. Standard
  2. Foldable.

You can’t go wrong with the choice of table design, as this is the determining factor when choosing the right tools for assembly.

Material selection

round table materialMetal. This material is widely used by those who know how to use a welding machine and other necessary tools for processing it.Good for street models, as it is durable. The downside is that making such furniture requires special skills and abilities.

Plastic. Such tables are most often used as a piece of furniture in summer cottages. Tables and chairs made of plastic are assembled independently from parts purchased in the store. You should pay attention to their quality. Minus - low-quality plastic under the influence of high ambient temperatures can become soft and lose its shape.

Chipboard. Chipboard is not used for the entire structure, but for the manufacture of a number of parts (lids, drawers, shelves). Solid pieces of wood should be used for the legs. Minus - chipboard absorbs moisture well, which leads to its delamination and deformation.

Tree. Most often, homemade craftsmen make a round table with their own hands from natural wooden beams and boards. These are mainly pine, beech, oak, and ash blanks. In this case, pine is considered the best material, since even beginners in this business can process it without any problems.

Making a drawing

Important! The correct drawing is a guarantee of high-quality assembly of the table.

At this stage, all planned adjustments should be made and dimensional errors should be taken into account.

The drawing must contain:

  • Detailing of the product taking into account the selected dimensions;
  • Sketch of table top and legs.

Tools for manufacturing and assembly are selected based on the type of the selected structural model.
