By door type

There are several types of doors in built-in and free-standing models.

With swing

Designs with swing doors are considered the most optimal option, as they are practical and budget-friendly. Furniture is made from various materials (natural wood, chipboard, plastic, etc.). The doors swing open to the outside. There are options with one, two and three doors. If there is not much space in the room, then it is better to choose a design with one opening side. These models are great for the bedroom or living room.

The main disadvantage of the models is their dimensions. The cabinet is quite massive in size, so it takes up a lot of space.

Coupe

The main advantage of sliding wardrobes is the sliding doors to the sides. This significantly saves space and makes the design non-standard. Such furniture is suitable for small rooms, as they do not take up much space. Despite the fact that the cabinet is small in size, it has good capacity.

By choosing a model with mirrors, you will be able to expand the space and add chic to the room. A sliding wardrobe costs significantly more than conventional options with hinged doors. Therefore, you will have to fork out some money. You can save money if you choose simpler models without mirrors and additional lighting.

However, you should not skimp on the material and quality of the sliding structure, since the operation of the compartment depends on it.Having saved on this, you will have to pay a lot of money for its repair. The coupe is suitable for a bedroom or hallway. Due to the sliding structures, they take little time and are convenient to use. Especially if the room is small or oblong.

Corrugated curtain

The model resembles a wardrobe, but along with the sliding doors it has a corrugated curtain. When the door is opened, it gathers like an accordion. The curtain is attached to special fasteners that move along the built-in structure, thereby allowing you to open and close the cabinet. The furniture is more suitable for the hallway, it does not take up much space and looks unusual, stylish, due to the corrugated curtain.

With lifting

Designs with lifting doors are distinguished by an automatic mechanism. Thanks to the built-in rollers, hanging doors hang securely and open upward. When opened, it is tightly fixed with rollers and does not fall down. These options are suitable for large living rooms, children's rooms, and bedrooms. They fit well with any interior style.

Without doors

There are also options without built-in doors. The design consists of three panels. The front or side part is completely open, that is, the shelves or the entire cabinet are visible. Open furniture is chosen for hallways, since doors often take up a lot of space, and the open version of the closet allows you to hang and put clothes on open shelves.

Types of sliding wardrobes

There are two types of wardrobes.

On the monorail

These are frame structures with built-in special monorails where the door moves. This opening option is considered more budget-friendly, but of lower quality, since there is a risk of small objects getting into the monorail. Because of this, the mechanism may fail.

Mechanical frame

A special mechanical frame with rollers is built into the frame.This is a more reliable system, since the frame moves under the influence of an automatic mechanism. However, such models are also more expensive.
