How to Remove Staples from a Cabinet Door Frame

what do staples look like? One of the distinctive features of frame structures is that they can be easily disassembled and put back together. In order for the product to have the same presentation at the end of assembly as at the beginning, it is necessary to carefully remove the staples and screws from the frame during the process. And while many people often remove the latter, not everyone encounters staples.

What do braces look like?

A door handle is often referred to as a handle that is fastened on both sides. The product received this name due to the fact that it resembles it in shape. In essence, it is a door handle of a curved or straight shape (U-shaped ones are also found).

The choice of cabinet door bracket material is extensive. They are made of iron, aluminum, plastic, and wood. The latter two materials are commonly used for cabinet doors. Plastic is distinguished by its lightness and cheapness, and wood is natural and durable. Many people note that wooden handles are much more pleasant to the touch than any other material.
Attaching such an arched handle involves the following steps:

  1. drilling a hole in the door;
  2. fastening on the reverse side with tightening screws.

Handle handles can be installed on both sides (then fastening will be done with the same handle on the other side), but for cabinets such fastening is not rational.

If you decide to change the handle, then you should choose based on your own preferences.You are unlikely to notice significant differences in quality (at least in the first year of use), but you cannot do without sufficient ergonomics.

When replacing, it is important to pay attention that the distance between the ends of the parts matches, otherwise the cabinet will not be able to maintain a neat appearance: you will have to drill new holes, while the old ones will remain visible.

REFERENCE! The name of the part indicates the distance between its ends. For example, for ARO-250: ARO is the name of its type (arched), and 250 is exactly the gap between the mounting screws in millimeters.

The door handle is used almost more often than other elements, so it wears out faster and requires replacement. Both the appearance of the bracket and its functionality may deteriorate.

REFERENCE! To remove the handle, some people first remove the door, but it is most convenient to do this when there is free access to both sides of the door.

Before starting work, you need to prepare the working tool and purchase replacement brackets, if necessary.

To remove the staples you will need:

  • hex wrench;
  • small screwdriver.

Instructions

The staples are installed both on the bar and on the screed, but in general they are all dismantled according to the same principle:

  1. removed bracketsRemove the mounting screws. In many inexpensive models, the fasteners are not masked in any way, so finding them will not be difficult. Their location depends on the model of the handle-bracket: they can be found both on the outside of the door and on the inside.
  2. Unscrew the clamping nut. Doing this is actually not as easy as it looks at first glance. It is located at the base. In order to unscrew it without extra effort, you must first find the hole for the rod.By inserting a hex key into the hole for the rod, you can easily unscrew the nut/
  3. Remove the product.

IMPORTANT! In the process of dismantling the handle, it is not necessary to purchase new mounting screws and nuts - they may well last from the old bracket, since they are less subject to wear.

The main thing is that they fit in size.
