How to hang a kitchen set

Fastener type

The most commonly used screws are those that are screwed into the dowel. They can be purchased as a set in construction stores, so you won’t have any difficulties selecting sizes.

REFERENCE. Choose galvanized screws measuring 8x80 mm.

Another good option are hooks that also screw into the dowel. For normal installation, you can choose a special rail with adjustable hangers. They are very easy to use. They hold furniture in place well. Distribute the load evenly. Previously, screws were used that were screwed into wooden choppers, but this fastening option is unreliable and has long been outdated.

Preparing the base

Once you have decided on the design and a certain type of fastening, you can proceed to the surface preparation stage. The wall must be level, otherwise you will not be able to mount the kitchen set beautifully and evenly. All repair work must be completed.

Make the markup:

• Measure the required distance from the tabletop to the lower level of the hanging elements. Measurements must be extremely accurate, use a level.

Hanging on drywall

When performing this work, it is worth understanding that the material is not very durable. The mounting method should be determined based on the size and weight of the kitchen unit. The most suitable are butterfly dowels, as well as special dowels for gypsum boards, but they are able to withstand weight up to 5 kg.

You can use mounting rails, which should first be attached to the wall. They can withstand weight up to 15 kg, but do not look very beautiful. To install a large set, you should first provide for the implementation of mortgages in the form of timber; these can also be brackets or a reinforced metal profile.

REFERENCE. In order to secure heavy structures, the use of additional fasteners will be required. These are decorative cables that are attached to the ceiling, chrome tubes that are installed on the floor.

We hang it on foam blocks

There may be some problems with this material. For fastening, use long dowels, special foam block dowels; a rail with four self-tapping screws will do. It would be best to distribute the load over the surface using a rail. A chemical anchor would be an excellent choice.

REFERENCE. When installing the rail, three to four fasteners should be distributed to each cabinet.

Installation on a wooden base

In this option, it is worth choosing the appropriate profiles with a bar placed inside. The part must be attached to the wall and then covered with sheathing. Next, dowels or brackets can be mounted in this area. To hang the mount on the wall, you need to think about how you distribute the load.
