Office chair arrangement

It is impossible to imagine any work space without an office chair. For the last 10-15 years, home space has been associated with such furniture. A computer chair has become a convenient and more comfortable replacement for an upholstered chair.

Buyers are increasingly choosing this product due to its design features that properly affect human health. Parts of the office version - its back and seat - are usually upholstered in fabric or leather with soft padding, which allows the spine to remain in the correct position for a long time. In addition, the rollers attached to the bottom give a person freedom: with this device he can move within the radius of the working area. To choose the right and profitable product for your office or home, we have prepared a technical educational program.

Design features of an office chair

Design features of an office chairEven in different modifications, this furniture has a single structure: a seat with a backrest, adjustable for the back, and a support part on casters, with which you can change the height.

ATTENTION! If you buy an office product, the package should include fasteners and keys for assembly. Be sure to check the instructions for all parts.

Note that in monoblock versions of the chairs, armrests are attached to the back. In this case, the kit should include the following parts:

  • Armrests;

  • Seat;

  • Back;

  • The mechanism by which the backrest and seat are adjusted and connected.

The support mechanism, in turn, consists of a gas lift, a star-shaped cross with linings, and rollers. Thanks to him, the computer chair moves on the floor, even if you don’t get up from it.

REFERENCE! The gas lift of any office chair has a 13 or 16 cm air chuck. Depending on the size of this part, the chair will rise higher. You should not break the pneumatic cartridge with a hammer, because it contains gas under enormous pressure!

Basic mechanisms of office chairs

office chair mechanismsThe price of an office product varies depending on the support mechanism that is installed in it. So let's go through the cheap to expensive options:

  1. Piastra - the design of an office chair is different in that it is a regular mechanism that works in the “top-bottom” mode. It is adjusted with a lever handle, acting on the gas lift valve. This is the cheapest option.

  2. A spring-screw mechanism is the second cheapest option. On the back of the chair there is a spring under a plastic twist. When twisted, it contracts, thereby adjusting the tilt of the backrest. There is an option that comes in elite designs, but it works a little differently. In this case, there are three screws, which, when tightened, adjust the height and deviation of the back of the chair.

  3. Top gun - this option is used only in the “director’s” or executive chairs. In appearance it resembles a rocking chair. In fact, this mechanism allows you to constantly swing and lift your legs off the chair, but not fall back.

What is a multiblock in an office chair

multiblock in an office chairThe most expensive chairs usually have multiblocks installed.It is based on synchronized mechanisms that allow you to swing with even more ideal proportions than, for example, in a top gun. In fact, during movement there is a proportional unloading of the entire spine along its length.

Regardless of the mechanism, such expensive chairs are equipped with various adjustments.
