How to assemble a bedroom set

Buying new furniture, especially a bedroom set, is always a pleasant and joyful event. After all, the bedroom is the place where we relax, love, and meet a new day. Preparing to assemble a bedroom set

How to assemble a bedroom set: the correct procedure

When the preparation is complete, we begin assembly. First of all, we assemble the furniture frame in accordance with the diagram specified by the manufacturer in the instructions.

ATTENTION! Assemble large furniture where it will stand, so as not to move finished cabinets and chests of drawers around the room. This way you will preserve the integrity of the flooring and your strength.

First, use a screwdriver or hex wrench to screw the legs and side walls to the bottom of the cabinets and chests of drawers, then the roof or tabletop. Assembling the bed frame.Usually the holes for connecting furniture parts are already made by the manufacturer; if they are not there, you will have to drill them yourself. This can be done with a screwdriver or drill.

IMPORTANT! When you make holes yourself, carefully measure and mark where the furniture parts will be attached! Attach shelves, doors, frame elements before drilling the next hole. Otherwise, it will not be possible to assemble the bedroom set efficiently and reliably; if the discrepancies are serious, the set will not be able to be assembled at all.

We insert shelves and drawers into the assembled box. It is better to install the guides for drawers and shelf fastenings before installing the back wall, then you will have the opportunity to work with the tool from either side. We attach the headboard and base on which the mattress will lie to the bed frame.

We attach the back walls with nails (fibreboard) or bolts and screws (wood, chipboard, MDF).

The next stage: hanging the doors using furniture hinges. The side walls must have round holes for hinges; making them yourself without a special tool is very difficult. We place one part of the hinge in the body, the other in the door, and connect the elements. If the door is skewed after installation, does not close tightly or is wobbly, do not be alarmed; most hinges are adjustable. You just need to tighten the bolts a little and the door will fall into place.

Using a level, check how level the assembled furniture is, level it horizontally, twist the adjustable legs to the desired height, you can carefully place a wooden or metal plate under the non-adjustable ones.

Lastly, we attach the handles and decorative elements.If the decor needs to be glued, use wood glue or good PVA.
