How many years have I lived in the world, and I never cease to be amazed by the fact that there is still so much unknown in the world, and how many new and unexpected discoveries life prepares for us every day - this is generally a separate topic for conversation. Sometimes it seems that you know everything, and nothing can surprise you anymore. But that was not the case! You accidentally hear another life hack and don’t understand how you couldn’t think of this yourself.

Yes, the preface is long, but what I will tell you will undoubtedly be interesting, and you will definitely want to try it. We are talking about a famous confectionery product - Choco Pie. It turns out that you can do an amazing thing with it that will immediately change its taste.

A little history of Choco Pie

I think that only the lazy do not know about this confectionery product. These are two biscuits with a layer of marshmallows and a filling covered with icing. It comes in different boxes, but it’s easy to recognize them - they are bright, colorful, and immediately catch your eye. However, you can find Choco Pie cake in any store, you don’t even have to make a huge effort.

The history of the confectionery product began back in 1929. Then the Chatanooga bakery decided to bake cute buns called Moon Pie. But they were not intended for children at all, but for local miners in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

30 years later, the original bun recipe was bought by the Japanese company Morinaga. And already in 1974, the Korean Orion began producing a similar product called Choco Pie.

How to eat it?

No matter how many times I saw these cookies at my friends’ houses, everyone used them the same way: they took them out of the package and ate them, let’s say, raw. However, my family did exactly the same thing. But one day my son came home from school and said to me from the doorway: “Did you know that we ate Chocco Pie incorrectly all the time?!”

At first, of course, I didn’t understand what they were talking about and what kind of topics they covered at school. But as it turned out, his classmate told a “terrible secret” about the correct (attention!) preparation of this cake.

For Choco Pie to reveal its best taste and aroma for you, you just need to put it in the microwave for a short time - 10-15 seconds is enough. That's what we did. And, you know, it's really a completely different product. It became larger in size, the filling increased, and essentially dry cookies turned into a nice dessert - soft, aromatic, tender.

I, of course, understand that it is likely that I am behind the times if I found out about this only now, when the whole world has been consuming Choco Pie this way for a long time. But this discovery was really news for me, and good news at that. After all, I didn’t find a word about this on the package.
