How to make flowers from plastic bottles with your own hands

Plastic is an inexpensive and durable material. Products made from it will last a long time and will look beautiful in the interior of an apartment or as a decoration for a personal plot. Besides, wonderful crafts you can create with children by sending them to competitions held in schools and kindergartens.

All you need is to collect a number of food-grade plastic bottles from drinks and milk. And then it’s a matter of technique and the irrepressible imagination of the master.

Tools for work

To make beautiful flowers from plastic, you don’t need any special equipment. Sharp scissors, a stationery knife, perhaps thick wire, strong thread and paints to add brightness are quite suitable.

Step-by-step manufacturing guide

The flower production process is divided into several stages. We invite you to consider in detail master classes on the construction of each part:

  1. Bud. To create it, take the bottom of a one and a half liter bottle.For the pistil and stamens, you can attach blanks from a craft store or make them yourself. Cotton swabs, which are found in every home, or the same plastic bottle will come to the rescue. A piece of material is simply cut into a fringe and rolled into a roll, burning it with a hot nail to make a connection.
  2. Stem. We prepare thick wire of the required size and a thin strip of plastic, the desired green color. We braid the iron and hold it over a burning candle.
  3. Sepals. To begin with, we draw the templates and, in their likeness, cut out the necessary parts from the container body. We make a hole in the central part of the workpiece and melt the edges with a burning candle so that the leaves “wrap up”.
  4. Assembly. All parts are strung on wire and secured with hot glue. The flower is ready.

The process is very creative and interesting. You can involve children in the work.

Homemade flower options

We've covered a step-by-step guide for making just one type of plant. But there are many options on how to decorate your own garden with crafts.

Flowers from the bottoms of bottles

Thanks to this manufacturing method, very delicate and airy buds are obtained. You need to take two separate bottoms from plastic containers of different sizes. Cut them into petals by making four movements with scissors. Hold it over the candle to make it round.

Apply glue to the center of the larger diameter bottom and insert the small one into it. Next, glue in a large bead and decorate the edges of the petals with paints. They can be attached to a flat panel or strung on wire, creating a three-dimensional composition.

Paintings with flowers

The manufacturing scheme is no different from convex paintings.It is necessary to prepare templates, round the petals over the candle and hold the central part of the bud over the fire a little so that it becomes flat.

Next, decorate the petals to your liking and glue them to the artwork. The result will exceed your expectations. It turns out beautiful and unusual.

Glowing buds

Garlands of plastic flowers with LED lights will help create a romantic mood. This craft can be hung on the veranda where the family gathers for dinner, or decorated with a tree.

We proceed according to the scheme:

  • cut off the necks of small containers to a height of about 10 cm;
  • form the petals and bend them outward;
  • paint the resulting flower with acrylic;
  • make a hole in the lid and insert an LED light bulb into each;

Combine flowers into a composition and hang them in a pre-selected place.

Curly garland

Another unusual way to decorate your summer cottage. To do this, you need to remove the bottoms of the bottles and cut strips in a spiral. Their thickness is about 5 cm. Apply a pattern of leaves and stems to the resulting blank and cut out the vine.

Hold the twig over the fire to make it voluminous.

Make several flowers from the remaining bottoms and secure them to the vine using thick wire. You can add a few beads for decoration. We hang the resulting product on a tree. It looks especially beautiful in the fall, when most of the leaves have already fallen.

Bouquets

The resulting flowers can be combined into compositions. To do this, wire braided with plastic, as mentioned above, is combined with other colors. This can be done with pieces of material cut from bottles, or glued with tape. The decision on the choice of materials rests only with the master.

Flowers from bottles They will delight the eyes of those around them with their beauty for a long time.They attractively reflect the glare of the sun and shimmer with bright colors. They serve for several seasons without requiring any modifications or touch-ups. In addition, this plastic reuse technology helps keep nature clean.
