A simple way to make tulle snow-white in an hour

It's no secret that over time tulle can turn yellow or even gray. In principle, this is a natural situation, and therefore it is unlikely that it will be possible to avoid it altogether - no one ever promised that tulle would always be snow-white. Sometimes you have to wash it so often that it becomes quite boring, especially for those who don’t bother with washing and ironing. However, whatever one may say, a yellowed curtain is not the most pleasant sight, and whether you like it or not, you need to wash it.

However, to do this, it is not at all necessary to run the washing machine cycle and then suffer near the ironing board. All you need to know is one simple way to wash tulle, which will make it delightfully snow-white. By the way, to do this you don’t have to squeeze it, rub it and stand half-bent over the basin. All you need is baking soda, a large container, water and time.

Snow-white tulle in two hours

First, let's prepare everything you need for washing:

  • actually, tulle;
  • a pack of baking soda;
  • pelvis;
  • salt (optional).

The container can be selected depending on the size of the curtain: if it is large, then it is better to take it deeper and wider. For small paintings, a small basin will do. The main thing is that everything fits.

So, we fill the basin with warm water. Then pour half a pack of soda into it and mix well. If you wash more than one tulle, then you can pour out all the soda. Now we just immerse it in the liquid and let it soak well in the solution. That's it, leave it for two to three hours, or even better - all night.In the morning you just need to rinse the fabric very well, wring it out and dry it. That's the whole trick! After such a wash, the tulle will become simply snow-white - and you can go blind.

But what is salt for, you ask? It also needs to be added to the water, but just a little - about half a glass. True, it will give the tulle a little stiffness - it will look like it’s slightly starched. But salt, like soda, has a similar property of absorbing dirt and dust, and therefore it definitely won’t be superfluous.
