Putting the “package with packages” in order

Every housewife who constantly visits shopping centers and grocery stores usually has in her arsenal a so-called “bag of bags.” This is a real accumulation of store-bought supposedly disposable bags that we manage to use at least once more, and often even more. They are usually stored in disarray. After unloading the products, we simply crumple up the packaging bag and throw it into the box. The result is a huge, messy pile of crumpled up pieces of plastic that becomes extremely annoying over time. I'll tell you how to store shopping bags neatly and compactly.

Collect or throw away?

The issue of collection and storage is very acute for many housewives. Recently, many stores are switching to environmentally friendly paper products, which solves the issue of storing seemingly unnecessary trash. But many people still use cellophane and plastic bags, and there are a lot of them in our homes. Of course, you can throw them away, but it is much more economical to reuse them if their condition allows it.

Important! Plastic products are not environmentally friendly, but most stores offer little choice, offering cheap plastic bags with handles or so-called "t-shirts". Women simply have no choice but to use them to bring groceries home.

Every thrifty housewife will definitely pack a high-quality, untorn bag, because it can be useful in the future as a garbage bag or simply to go to the store with it again and not spend a few rubles each time buying a new one.

How to organize your package storage system?

That is why they “breed” in our homes at such a rapid rate that most people visit stores every day, bringing a new package home every day. As a result, a mountain of unnecessary bags accumulates in the box very quickly.

Typically packages are stored in one of the following ways:

  • bags nested in one;
  • special shelf;
  • basket;
  • drawer.

Important! In any of the proposed options, as a rule, all the bags are crumpled and lying around as needed. The storage of packages has no systematization or distribution by color, size or density.

I suggest organizing your shopping bag storage system to see how much usable space is being eaten up by that messy pile of bags. And most importantly, how you can fold them beautifully and neatly, so as not to be annoyed every day by the mess made in the kitchen.

Lifehack for proper storage

Everything is very simple - we need to take one package and, placing it on the floor or table, carefully level it with our palms. It is then folded into a thin strip, three or four times, depending on the size of the bag. The handles also need to be carefully aligned.

Then we begin to fold the plastic product into a triangle, wrapping it from the bottom to the handles. As a result, you should get a voluminous triangle into which the handles are wrapped and the whole thing is pressed with the palm of your hand to make the package flatter.

triangles from bags

As you can see, the procedure is very simple.Such triangles can be placed in a special small basket and carefully placed in a box. It is convenient to categorize the bags by size so that you can always take exactly the one you need in a particular case.

This is a convenient way to store store-bought grocery bags, which will appeal to every housewife who is desperate to clean up her own kitchen. Don’t be lazy, spend a few seconds folding, and you will see how the drawer where you kept the notorious packages that constantly irritated you with clutter will transform.

Comments and feedback:

I tried triangles. I didn’t like it, I bought a large container for bags and other things in Ikea for 119 rubles. You can hang it on the wall or put it, it took up 15 by 18 cm of space on the table. You can fit a lot of bags, just roll it up and put it.

I've been using this method for a long time. Very comfortably!! When stored, they take up very little space and I have several of these “triangles” in each bag just in case.
