Foil crafts

Foil - An excellent material for creating various kinds of crafts. It is very plastic, malleable, can take any shape, and at the same time is absolutely environmentally friendly. The unique properties and high aesthetics of this material allow foil crafts to maintain an impeccable appearance in a variety of conditions. For example, they will perfectly decorate the kitchen or bathroom - rooms where the percentage of humidity is significantly increased. The properties of the thinnest metal sheet make it possible to create complex decorative elements for these rooms.

In addition, foil is a material that virtually eliminates the occurrence of static electricity when working with it. Due to the fact that it lacks the ability to attract, products are almost not covered with dust. In general, the material has enough advantages - foil will certainly increase the scope for joint family creativity.

What can be made from foil

Whatever! Using sheets, you can turn any idea into reality, since this is perhaps the only material that can be easily given the required shape. It is used to create both simple crafts and more intricate, complex ones with various branches.

New Year decoration

New Year is a good reason to make toys with your own hands. Fortunately, there are a lot of options.Snowflakes, a Christmas tree, a snowman, bells, garlands and even icicles - all this can be easily created from such a primitive material as foil.

Of course, for more complex crafts you will need not only manual dexterity and imagination, but also additional components.

For example, you can create a New Year's deer with a cart, but in this case the craft involves twisting small flagella and then connecting them with glue.

Another unusual and original option is a garland. But creating it will take a lot of time and the foil is a little denser. Just cutting out snowflakes is a difficult, monotonous and sometimes tedious task. But in the end the decor looks very nice. Then small snowflakes need to be hung on the base. In this case, you will need a strong thread and some kind of strong strip in order to then fasten it all into a single structure.

But making bells is also easy. First you need to create a template from thick paper or cardboard, and then wrap all this beauty in foil. Round toys can be made in the same way - using some kind of base or rolling small balls of foil and sticking them around any unnecessary shape, for example a kinder egg.

Flower bouquets

If you have a positive attitude towards artificial flowers, and at the same time want to decorate your home with a DIY craft, then this option is for you.

There are simple designs. They involve rolling a foil plate into a spiral in a circle, and then attaching the “flower” to the base. You can make large buds or limit yourself to small details. Then all this is put into one composition and into a vase.

But complex flowers are really difficult to make: it will take a lot of time, effort and patience to first twist the flagella and then fasten everything together. However, this craft looks very original, so it’s definitely worth a try.

Animals

Surely many of us have heard the request: “Mom, let’s do something interesting.” If you are one of them, tin foil animals are just what you need. It's fast, creative, interesting for a child and, however, practically free.

Then the child will be able to put such a craft in his room and remember how cool and interesting it was to do this. Moreover, you can create absolutely any animal in this way. And again - either limit yourself to the simplest options, or take it and create something grandiose and stunning.

By the way, this is one of the solutions to the problem when at 22:00 you hear: “I remembered that we were assigned a craft for school/kindergarten tomorrow.”

Little people

Another simple foil figure is a man. Sometimes simple designs can be made in about five minutes. The material is so plastic that making a pair of arms and legs will not be difficult.

How to make a tin foil man? You could say it's quite simple. For one figurine:

  • To begin, cut a strip from the roll. Its width is 10 cm, length is about 40 cm, but you can take a little more.
  • Twist it into a flagellum. But proceed carefully. A sudden or forceful movement and your foil will burst in several places. Also, be careful: the edges of the sheet may be quite sharp. Be careful not to cut yourself.
  • As soon as the strip is twisted into a tube, bend it in half and make a loop in the center - this is the future head.
  • We leave 10 cm on each edge of the flagellum - these will be the arms. We bend them again and, having connected them into one whole, we twist the body of the man.
  • We return to the hands and twist them.
  • At the bottom we detach the flagella and form the legs.We bend the “feet” and the figure is ready!

Of course, crafts made from foil are very, very a lot of. They even use it to create paintings, baskets, stands, candlesticks and more. In a word, what can be made from foil? It turns out there are a lot of things, the main thing is that your hands grow correctly...
