The most effective ones are to turn on the fan heater or air conditioner for heating, or the “warm floor” system. But these are rather banal and simple methods. What should those who do not have such devices do? Freeze? Well, I do not.
I'll tell you 4 life hacks on how to avoid getting cold in your apartment while the radiators are still cold. Of course, they do not guarantee that the house will immediately become hot, but they will definitely help keep the rooms warm. You just need to change the interior a little.

Curtains

The best option is blackout canvases. They are made of dense material, therefore they will prevent the penetration of cold and drafts from external walls and cracks in windows. In addition, such curtains will add coziness and comfort to the interior, and this will have a positive effect on the psychological state of those living in the apartment.

Rearrangement of furniture

If you correctly arrange the furniture elements, the temperature in the room will rise by several degrees. For example, a massive wardrobe can be moved to an external wall - it will insulate it a little, so the cold will penetrate less into the room. And the sofa on which you spend a lot of time is better placed against the far wall. This way you are less likely to freeze while watching your favorite movie or TV series.

Carpets

Many people are skeptical about this kind of decor, believing that it is more likely a dust collector than an important interior detail. But you can’t do without a carpet in the cold season. It’s not at all necessary to hang it, as our mothers and grandmothers did on the external walls (but it did help!), but putting soft and dense textiles near the sofa or bed means insulating the room a little. The thicker, longer and more fluffy the pile, the better!

However, in a general sense, a carpet will not warm a house, but you must agree: walking on a warm surface is much more comfortable than walking on icy linoleum or parquet.

Windows and doors

Often it is from the windows and the front door that the most cold and drafts come from. That’s why they need to be dealt with first, so as not to lose such precious heat.

First of all, it is necessary to seal the cracks around the perimeter of the door frame - as a rule, it is through them that cold air enters the room. This is done using regular polyurethane foam.

In addition, do not forget that the cold can enter the apartment even if you have a metal entrance door installed. Then it must be insulated from the inside. Ideal options are mineral wool or polystyrene foam.
