How to keep your toilet brush clean

Good owners keep every room clean. And the toilet is no exception. The toilet must be cleaned regularly with detergent, brushes and a brush. Don’t forget to keep the brush clean so you don’t have to buy a new one every two weeks.

First of all, a clean brush does not evoke feelings of disgust or disgust. With regular use, it begins to turn yellow and spread an unpleasant odor; millions of bacteria and microorganisms accumulate on it, which can cause diseases of the gastrointestinal tract or disorders in the respiratory system.

It is better to choose chlorine-containing detergents; they will ensure cleanliness, remove odors and disinfect.

For more active cleaning, in addition to detergent, you will need vinegar and salt.

Mix a small amount of the product, 50 g of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of salt and a glass of hot boiled water in a container. Mix the mixture and dip the brush in it for 1 hour.

For lazy housewives, there is another cleaning option. Pour detergent into the toilet and leave the brush in it for half an hour. After a while, the toilet and brush are washed with water from the tank. This method requires regularity.

When cleaning with aggressive detergent or vinegar, it is advisable to use rubber gloves and sometimes a mask. Children should not be in the vicinity.

To make the brush last longer, it is enough to follow a few rules:

• Wash the brush completely at least once a month. This applies to its handle and bowl;
• in its normal position, the brush should not touch the walls and floor;
• after each cleaning, the brush is washed under running water;
• The service life of toilet tools, even with regular cleaning, is 1.5 years. Then it's better to buy a new one.

The brush is an indispensable assistant in the toilet; housewives often underestimate it. If you keep the brush clean, rinse and disinfect it on time, you can avoid many unpleasant diseases and ensure the cleanliness of the toilet. At the same time, it is worth understanding that a brush is not a purchase that will last forever and periodic replacement is still necessary.
