Today I will tell you about the rules of convenient storage.

The first and most terrible thing is freeing up space.

This option is alien to our people, who are accustomed to storing household items “until better times.” For example, clothes waiting in the closet for an hour until the youngest ones grow into things that the older ones have outgrown, or until mom regains her “summer” figure and dad gets rid of his “labor callus.”

But fashion changes, hopes are not met, and mountains of useless fabric still remain in the closet. Isn't this a reason to critically evaluate its contents and get rid of everything that will probably not be used in the foreseeable future?

Moreover, this rule applies not only to the wardrobe - after going through the contents of all the shelves and drawers in the house, you can probably find many things waiting for better times. And by getting rid of this “wealth”, you will free up space for storing valuable and necessary items.

But if this is corrected, for example, by filling bags with seasonal clothing and packaging with archives of documents, then more convenient areas for everyday use will be freed up. And yes, filling boxes with various little things can also make storing things much easier.

Another undeservedly forgotten area is empty walls. Meanwhile, hanging shelves and all kinds of hooks easily correct this omission. Let's take a bicycle for example. In a small apartment it is difficult to place him on the floor so that he does not disturb anyone. If you hang it on the wall, the situation will immediately change. The same rule applies to baby strollers, the vast majority of which fold in a few movements.

Third and original - search for non-standard places

A repair tool seems out of place in the kitchen. But what if you put it on the top shelves of hanging cabinets? Almost nothing is usually stored there anyway. The same should be done with household chemicals. You don’t have to give it a separate shelf, but place the products under the sink.

Tabletops are also rarely used for storing things, which at first glance seems logical. But they can be supplemented with spacious organizers.This means that spices can be stored on the kitchen table, which previously wasted space in the cabinet. There are documents in the office. In the living room, a salvation will be a coffee table complemented with shelves or its older brother located against the wall.

One of the most interesting services that has appeared relatively recently is remote storage of items. Drivers are already familiar with the offer of car services that send winter or summer tires to their specialized warehouses for a small fee.

In large cities, you can do the same with a fur coat and a fur hat. They can be stored in the refrigerator after dry cleaning. And if you carefully search the advertisements, you will definitely find companies renting out spacious boxes for anything and everything at once.
