Do you often need to move furniture to clean up after it?
If you live in a large house and have a large family, cleaning will be required more often. And vice versa, if you live alone in a huge apartment or house, then you will need to clean it much less often.
But no matter the size of the room, every home has large furniture that needs to be moved away. If you don’t do this, you won’t be able to remove the dust and dirt that has accumulated behind the furniture.
All heavy and large furniture should be moved once a year. You should also vacuum the back of your carpet every year. Don't forget about the curtains.
Clean walls and all lighting fixtures once a year.
What hard-to-reach places are there in the apartment and how often should they be cleaned?
High-quality cleaning of residential premises differs from ordinary cleaning in that after it is carried out, there are no dusty or dirty places left in the apartment or house.
But in order for order to reign in every corner, you first need to discover this corner. To make your life easier, we will tell you which places are the most difficult to reach in a residential area:
- The space behind the batteries and ventilation screens. As a rule, the batteries are separated by bars from the main room. At the same time, warm air circulates in the space. Over time, dirt and dust begin to accumulate behind the batteries and ventilation grilles. If cleaning is not carried out, the dust will begin to have a negative effect on the human body. The accumulated dust is constantly heated and partially burns. Because of this, an unpleasant odor appears in the room. The more dust accumulates, the worse the room is ventilated. Therefore, the air becomes dirty and stale. These areas must be cleaned monthly. To do this, you can use a vacuum cleaner with an appropriate attachment or a narrow brush.
- Space above cabinets, mezzanines. These places are located high up and are often not used, so dust is not visible. But in a draft, it rises with a flow of air and easily penetrates the lungs. Once a week you need to wipe the mezzanines and the space above the cabinets with a damp cloth. The top of the cabinets can be covered with newspapers. When cleaning, just remove the newspapers - all the dust will remain on them.
- Upper part of the doors. The situation is similar to the space above the cabinets. Wipe the doors once a week with a soft, damp cloth.
- Under the sofa. You should clean it every time you wet clean the room. If there is not enough space between the floor and the sofa for your hand to penetrate, use a vacuum cleaner attachment.
- Shelving. You do not use books and tableware for several people every day. Therefore, a huge amount of dust accumulates on them. Once a month, wipe books and dishes with a damp cloth.
- Oven. The best way is to wash the oven after each use. But few people do this, so grease and soot remain on the inner surface of the oven. When the oven heats up, the fat begins to burn and produces an unpleasant odor. Therefore, you need to arm yourself with special cleaning products and remove all contaminants. The procedure must be carried out as soon as the oven becomes dirty or at least once a month.
- Sink and bathtub base. In some ways they resemble the area under the sofa. But the dirt in the bathroom is damp. If it is not removed, over time the dust will begin to rot. Therefore, once every two weeks, wet clean under the bathtub and wipe the bottom of the sink.
When doing wet cleaning, do not forget about hard-to-reach places. The house will be clean only if you regularly remove accumulated dirt and dust from every corner of the room.
