Why do experienced housewives apply bubble film to windows?
Everyone is familiar with bubble wrap - the so-called anti-stress film. It serves as packaging for various products; as a rule, it is used for shipment. Almost every person who gets their hands on it bursts the bubbles with gusto. Having received his dose of “sedative”, he throws it in the trash. Many people don’t realize that film can still be beneficial. Thrifty housewives cover their apartment windows with it. This procedure is especially relevant in the warm season.

Why do this?
In the southern regions of Russia you can see foil on windows and balcony glazing quite often. Almost everyone knows about the purpose of such a coating - it protects the room from the penetration of direct rays of the sun, and therefore from heat. Bubble film also performs the same task.
American scientists have proven that the material has the functions of an air conditioner. The air with which the bubbles are filled retains heat and it does not penetrate into the room. The existing so-called air pocket is an excellent obstacle. The effect is similar to that produced by installing plastic windows consisting of two double-glazed windows.
Reference. In the USA there is a festival of bubble wrap (Bubble Wrap), where everyone competes in bursting it. It is celebrated on January 25 - in Russia it is the Day of St. Tatiana, the patroness of students.
How to glue
To cover the windows you need a long piece of material. It happens that the film has two layers - then it should be unraveled at the seams. In addition, you need adhesive tape - you can get by with regular tape, but it is advisable to purchase double-sided tape.
If the tape is ordinary, it is glued to the film. Then it turns over to the reverse side. It is fixed in the middle and at the edges with small pieces of the same tape. This creates a two-sided option.
Protection from the scorching heat is ready. All that remains is to hang it on the window frame. The coating will be almost invisible, since the material is an excellent conductor of light.
