9 things that can be reused
Once upon a time, very savvy and enterprising smart people (in the good sense of the word) tried not to throw unnecessary trash into a landfill, but to give it a second life, coming up with a new rational use for some things. Thanks to this, many of us have learned that such everyday little things as plastic bottles, toilet paper rolls, egg containers, ground coffee and much more can be reused. Moreover, they are quite functional and turn out to be very useful in everyday life.

Egg Tray
Firstly, plastic and thick cardboard containers can be reused for their intended purpose. For example, in the case when eggs are not purchased in packaged form. Then the cost will be slightly less, but still cheaper.
Secondly, they can be used for other purposes. They are great for growing seedlings for storing small jewelry, as well as small items for creativity (sequins, beads, seed beads, threads, etc.).
There is another clever application, but not everyone likes it purely visually. An egg container is great for placing under a laptop to protect it from overheating. The embossed surface of the cardboard product will provide excellent access to air and ensure cooling of the device.
Ground coffee
If you are a coffee lover, then you don’t have to throw the used grounds in the trash. There are many uses for it. For example:
- additive to shower gel - a scrubbing effect and to prevent and combat cellulite;
- excellent fertilizer for plants;
- deodorant for the refrigerator from unpleasant odors - put the grounds on a saucer and place them on the shelf;
- as a dishwashing powder;
- for sprinkling the path in icy conditions.
Cotton clothes and towels
The time has passed when worn-out items were used as a rag for cleaning the floor. Now in stores you can find a bunch of mops and attachments at quite affordable prices. True, in some homes they find a use for such things: they wipe dust off shelves, clean dishes, and more.
But there is another clever use - tear the knitwear into narrow, identical strips and knit a cute rug from them. If you try really hard and do the work carefully, you will get complete hygge.
Plastic bags
If you have not yet come, either mentally or physically, to the principle of conscious consumption and continue to buy bags in stores, then at least you shouldn’t throw them away immediately after coming home. Fold the bag neatly and put it in your bag - the next time you visit the supermarket, you won’t have to buy a new plastic product, and the world will become a little cleaner.
Banks
Glass containers for various products, such as pickles, coffee, jam, can be used for bulk products. You just need to erase all the labels from them (this is easy to do with plain warm water and a stiff brush), rinse and dry well. Better yet, bake it in the sun or in the oven.The only caveat is that it is advisable to purchase identical lids so that everything looks harmonious and in one, so to speak, composition.
And also unnecessary glass jars can be beautifully decorated and used instead of a vase, candlestick, organizer for hairpins or other small items.
Toothbrush
It’s probably no secret that an old toothbrush can be reused for quite a long time. It is ideal for cleaning hard-to-reach places, difficult and stubborn dirt, tile joints and much more.
Shower cap
It is clear that this product performs its function until the last, roughly speaking, breath. But there are times when the old hat is boring, and the soul requires something new and fresh. But you don’t need to throw away the boring product - it will still come in handy. For example, it is very convenient to pack shoes in it if you are planning a vacation or a business trip. Dirty shoes will not stain other things with their soles, because we often put them in one suitcase or bag.
Plastic bottles
Oh, what is not made from old plastic: pots for garden plants, fruit containers, children's crafts, containers for cosmetic tools or bath accessories, packaging for cereals, thread holders and much more.
Therefore, before you throw away a plastic bottle, think about whether you want to make something useful and cool out of it.
Toilet paper rolls
Cardboard cylinders are great for storing wires, cables and even Christmas lights. All you need to do is carefully wind them up and place them inside the sleeve. This way you can protect them from tangling.
Here are such simple ways to give a second life to familiar things that seem to belong in the trash bin. What life hacks with repeated use do you know? Be sure to share with us in the comments.
