7 blunders when cleaning the bathroom

Usually a bathroom is a small room. Therefore, many people believe that cleaning there is not difficult. Just remember to wash the toilet, sink, floor, wipe the mirror and tiles... All this will take no more than 20 minutes. Yet this approach is fundamentally wrong.

Common cleaning mistakes

The bathroom is not only small, but also the wettest part of the apartment. Therefore, with insufficient care, fungus and even mold can appear here.

To prevent this from happening, it is necessary to take into account the mistakes that we most often make during cleaning.

1. Use cold water

Cold water, even in combination with a chemical cleaning agent, will not be able to cope with all the dirt and, most importantly, many microbes. By the way, the latter die exclusively in hot water.

Most powders dissolve at high liquid temperatures. And all kinds of gels work twice as efficiently. Do you want to clean your bathroom efficiently? Use only hot and warm water (about 10° above room temperature).

2. Do you wash your toothbrushes?

Simply rinsing the brush after use is not enough! Like other objects, it constantly collects harmful bacteria. To prevent this hygiene item from causing serious illness, it is necessary to ensure its cleanliness.

To disinfect, just leave your toothbrushes in apple cider vinegar for half an hour and then rinse with warm running water. This way, all harmful microorganisms will disappear, and your health will be out of danger.

Advice! Don’t forget to change the brush with a new one every three months!

3. Use paper towels

There is practically no point in such cleaning. Regular rags and paper towels only scatter dust around. To really clean your bathroom, use microfiber.

Nowadays such rags can be found in every hardware store. This fabric does not just “sweep out” dust particles, but collects them on itself. The static charge between the closely spaced synthetic fibers literally attracts all the dirt.

In addition, microfiber does an excellent job on glass and mirrors. It does not leave streaks and does not require the use of special sprays.

4. Do you clean your hair brushes?

Do not think that combs are always clean and do not require maintenance. Every day, dust and invisible particles of sebum settle on them. Therefore, simply removing the hair remaining between the teeth is not enough. You need to rinse your brush regularly to keep your hair clean.

Just mix a small amount of shampoo with baking soda and apply the resulting product to the teeth and the entire space between them. After some time, the mixture can be washed off. In this case, all dirt will disappear.

5. Three spots on the curtain

And at the same time we are wasting our time and energy. It will be much more effective to put it in the washing machine along with a few towels and a little vinegar.

If the curtain is heavily soiled, you can stop the machine after 5-10 minutes of washing and continue the procedure after a while. As a result, even old stains are washed off.

6. Think a vacuum cleaner is only for carpets?

Agree, it is very inconvenient to wash the floor when there is sand, dust or cat hair on it. It seems that instead of cleaning, you are simply spreading dirt. To avoid this effect, you can simply vacuum the room before washing (not forgetting the corners and other hard-to-reach places).

Important! If there are puddles on the floor, the vacuum cleaner may be damaged. Watch out for dryness!

7. Do you clean behind the toilet?

For some reason, the owners always forget about this place. Meanwhile, a large amount of dirt accumulates on the back wall of the toilet.

So, even if you cleaned the entire room, but forgot to look behind the toilet with a rag and disinfectant, germs will still continue to actively multiply there.

Keeping your home in order is actually not that difficult. The main thing is to do it regularly and correctly.
