4 ways to easily keep your home tidy for a lazy person
When it comes to cleaning, I try to hide: well, I don’t like it. At the same time, I manage to maintain cleanliness. Maybe not perfect, but definitely noticeable. And no, black magic has absolutely nothing to do with it! The whole point is useful habits for lazy neaties, which I’ll tell you about today.
Clean up small messes immediately
For example, there are dirty dishes. If you throw plates after eating, you will develop a reflex to fill the sink. And there will simply be a greater chance of forgetting about washing the dishes. Therefore, it is better not to delay and clean up immediately after the meal. This will not require a lot of time and effort, and the effect will be pleasing.
Personally, my motivation was buckwheat and rice. Either I’m not lazy and wash it right away, or every other day I rip it off the plates grain by grain with a knife. And as a result, a habit emerged - not to throw the dishes. It’s not just healthier, but also easier. And it works with any mess. I spilled something and immediately stopped and cleaned it up. If I spilled tea, I didn’t wipe it with a sock, but with a normal wet cloth. This is how, every minute or two, I take away whole hours from general cleaning.
Bring everything to automation
Continuing from the previous topic, the best way to deal with something is to prevent it from happening. Have I already mentioned that I don't like cleaning? This is precisely why her soul is in embryo and I immediately put all things in their places. Yes, in the end it becomes boring, because the intrigue disappears: will the phone be found or not. But at the same time there is more time for yourself. And it’s easier for the brain, because everything is familiar.
The best way to stick to this rule without making any effort is to find a place for each thing. If your phone is not needed right now, let it sit on charge. The wallet lies in the table on the same shelf, and so on. As a result, an internal supervisor will develop that will torment your conscience if anything is out of place. And in the long term, this reduces the time of searching for anything to a minimum, clearing up space in the apartment.
Less things - less problems
Most people prefer to collect all their junk at home and store it. Sometimes it seems like these are some incredible jewels. It’s even strange that the owners didn’t hire guards for such treasures.
In this case, there are always supposedly “authoritative” arguments. The most common of them is: “Well, this is necessary.” Of course, a jacket in case all four are torn and the fifth is taken by mice can come in handy, but is it really that important? Or some collections and figures that you actually stopped liking a long time ago?
There is no point in keeping something that you remember about once a year at best. And that’s because it gets in the way. Less clutter means less cleaning needs. And the process itself becomes easier. It is easier to wipe down a shelf on which there is only one photo frame than one littered with various unnecessary trinkets.
Tidying up is fun
I understand that this phrase could have caused injury to many, but it is true. Cleaning can be a lot of fun, you just have to figure out how to make it that way.
The most logical thing is to turn it into a competition. Moreover, you can add excitement if you argue with your significant other or friend about something. For example, on desire. For completely lonely people, the concept of challenges is better suited. Just limit the time.
And also a lot of fun to combine. That is, here is a man cooking pasta. While they are cooking, you can quickly sweep up, for example. As a result, you get two things done at the same time - practical and economical.
Another good option is incentives. Once I motivated myself that I would buy a villa if I cleaned it up in 15 minutes. And then I realized two things. First, it’s not good to lie (especially to yourself). Secondly, I found it surprisingly easy to fit into the time frame.
