The bottle has become a familiar object in our everyday life. Today it not only sells various drinks, but also dairy products, sauces and even condensed milk. There are several types of such dishes depending on the material from which they are made.

Bottle - what is it?
This is a cylindrical container with a narrow neck that can be easily closed with a stopper. It is designed for long-term storage of various liquids, including technical ones.
For non-food filling, the bottle must be made of sustainable materials.
Exist different types dishes. More often they are made of glass. It is environmentally friendly and reliable, especially if it is dark in color. But bottles made from polymer materials and even from natural raw materials, such as pumpkin, are widely available.
History of the item
The path of capacity began in ancient times. The first workshop for making glassware was found in the territory of modern Egypt. The find is dated to approximately 1370 BC. e. The shape of an object was then given great importance. It resembled a human figure or the silhouette of a fruit or vegetable.
About a hundred years before the beginning of the new era, a glass blowing tube appeared in the hands of glass bottle manufacturers. This allowed us to speed up the manufacturing process. Household items were widely distributed - not just for dispensing food liquids.
In the Roman Empire, bottles differed in shape, but had a single mark printed on the front wall of the product.
In the 13th century, the art of bottle making was adopted in Europe. Soon Venice became famous for its unique objects created by master glassblowers. And in 1611, another important discovery was made in England - the development of a furnace for firing glass. From that moment on, production began to gain even more momentum in the world.
The first machine for blowing strong glass bottles appeared in 1901. The automated line helped put the production on stream and make the container a common household item.
Types of bottles
Today there are many types of containers. They differ in shape, volume and material from which they are made.
- Glass. It is believed that it is environmentally friendly, it can be used many times, the drink in it is stored longer and has a rich taste.
- Plastic. Widely distributed material. Cheap to produce and safe to use.
When we imagine a bottle, we think about alcoholic drinks. Here the variety of forms and types is very great:
- for champagne - a streamlined glass container with a long narrow neck;
- Rhine - an elongated product, devoid of “shoulders”, made of thin glass;
- Burgundy - with a wide base and sloping “shoulders”, it seems solid, and is in demand all over the world;
- Bordeaux - a large bottle made of thick glass with pronounced “shoulders”, has a low, unexpectedly narrow neck;
- English - a small “pot-bellied” bottle with a thin and often figured neck.
The vast majority is made of colored glass.
What is it used for?
Bottles are used for liquids for food and non-food purposes. Among the products for human consumption we constantly find milk, kefir, fermented baked milk in plastic containers, as well as condensed milk and various cocktails and yoghurts.
Alcohol products are usually presented in bottles made of colored or transparent glass. The shapes and sizes of containers on the counters are amazing. Carbonated drinks and mineral water are usually presented in larger plastic containers.
For technical liquids, it is less common, but glass containers are used. Bottles are sometimes used in moonshine brewing.
