Louvre grille for ventilation
Adjustable ventilation grilles, which are installed on various types of ventilation systems, will help you effectively cope with the task of providing clean indoor air - supply, exhaust, as well as supply and exhaust.

Why are ventilation blinds needed?
The main advantage of louvered grilles, in addition to decoration (they hide flaws on the wall) and protection from foreign objects getting into the ventilation, is the ability to control the air flow, strengthening or weakening it.
Important: at a certain angle of the blades, air is drawn into or out of the room more intensely.
Where are ventilation louvres used?
This ventilation element is used wherever there is an air duct or its installation is necessary:
- for ventilation of apartments, houses, other residential and office premises;
- to provide high-quality air to industrial facilities, warehouses, and outbuildings;
- to regulate the humidity of underground spaces (installed on the foundation).
Kinds
Ventilation blinds are made from two types of materials – metal and plastic. Both options have become widespread and have both their advantages and disadvantages.
Features of metal products
Metal products – very durable, but this does not mean that such a grill will always work flawlessly, especially if there are small parts. The widespread belief that metal products are more durable is not confirmed by practice.
Attention: Metal blinds are susceptible to corrosion, so they are not recommended for installation in rooms with high humidity.
Features of plastic products
Plastic blinds from modern manufacturers are also quite durable. Their main advantage is resistance to moisture, but some plastic parts may fail faster due to the fact that they move frequently.
Functional purpose
Products of an adjustable type have a simple design (when the angle of inclination of the blinds changes due to rotation around an axis), which, nevertheless ensures their excellent functionality:
- Provide forced ventilation of rooms. This is important because in this case the direction of air flow can be adjusted.
- Some products are produced together with a fine mesh, which performs the function of a coarse filter.
- In cases where constant ventilation of the room is not necessary or even undesirable, such a grill is very easy to close. This is convenient when ventilating underground spaces: in damp weather, the blinds on the foundation close and open when the humidity is normal.
How to install correctly
Installing blinds on an air duct is not difficult, the main thing is to know the exact dimensions and design of this element. When it is installed during construction, the process is usually straightforward.
It’s another matter if you need to equip ventilation in an already built facility - then you have to cut a hole in the wall or ceiling. It is not always possible to do this yourself efficiently, because an error of a centimeter or more is noticeable and affects the quality and ability to install the grille, so it is better to contact an experienced technician.
Metal gratings are more durable. When installing plastic blinds, work should be carried out more carefully so as not to damage the structure at the attachment points. The main thing is to install the grille in such a way that nothing prevents the blinds from moving freely.
