Instructions for preservation of hot water boilers
It is possible that the device may be in an idle position. During such a period, the entire mechanism is exposed to the possibility of corrosion. To prevent this, it is recommended to use exclusively preservation methods. Their varieties and the features of each will be discussed in this article.

Instructions for preservation of hot water boilers
Let us examine in detail the most common methods that will help protect equipment from destruction.
Gas method
Let's move straight to the essence of the process. First of all, the space is supplied with gas. By interacting with wet metal surfaces, an obstacle to the formation of corrosion is created. The mass completely squeezes out the air. The following items are excellent for this application:
- Helium.
- Ammonia.
- Nitrogen.
- Argon.
There is a special algorithm by which manipulations are performed:
- Gas is supplied to the water, thereby squeezing out the liquid.
- Next, the lower pipe is closed.
- When a pressure of 0.013 mPa is reached, the flow stops.
- After which the upper part, which is connected to the gearbox, is also closed.
REFERENCE! Of course, it is worth periodically checking all parameters and monitoring the pressure.
Wet preservation method
If we talk about the principle of the method, it is worth mentioning a special liquid that is deliberately used to prevent the appearance of rust. Antifreeze is excellent for the presented manipulations. However, it is worth remembering the fairly high cost and a considerable degree of turnover. In addition to this type of concentrate, there is also a mixture of water with a small amount of sodium sulfate.
IMPORTANT! The concentration should not exceed ten grams per liter.
As for the process itself, this is the following diagram:
- To begin with, you should add this mixture using a pressure test pump.
- Next, liquid is released from the reservoir.
- Thanks to this system, the metal will not be able to rust.
Dry preservation method
Despite all the advantages of the previous methods, this one is no worse in practice. The peculiarity is the high-quality drying of all channels from the inside. The process goes like this:
- The product is blown through with warm air.
- This evaporates all the moisture inside.
ATTENTION! The burner is turned off first.
By slowly eliminating moisture, the effect of eliminating metal is created. Therefore, small holes should be made to allow the substance to be absorbed. Quicklime or potassium is excellent as a powder. The main thing is that it is chloride. But you should understand that periodically you will need to change them to new ones.
