Preparing to start the chainsaw

Gasoline must have an octane number of at least 90. The most suitable is AI-92. Otherwise, low-quality fuel will have a negative effect on the engine. You will also need two-stroke oil. It is recommended to purchase one that is suitable for a specific chainsaw model.

The ratio of components for the mixture is prescribed in the instructions. On average, the proportions are 1:33.

Fuel may be leaded or unleaded. The first is used for tools whose engine is not equipped with a catalyst.

Then refueling is carried out. It is better to prepare the mixture in a metal container. They start by adding oil, then pour gasoline into it and bring it until smooth. The resulting composition is poured into the gas tank carefully so that the mixture does not get on the body. Close the lid tightly.

Finished fuel can be stored for a maximum of a month. Then the oxidative process begins.

It is necessary to check the chain tension.To do this, they pull it back in the middle of the tire. If the tails of the links remain in the grooves for at least 2/3 of the length, then the elements are installed correctly. The movement of the chain along the tires should not be difficult. It is also necessary to prevent excessive tension on the part. To do this, it is enough to rotate the chain manually on the bar. If there is no feeling of strong tension, rotation occurs normally, then the installation is correct.

Then proceed to install the hand brake. It is located at the front of the instrument body. The lever must be pressed forward so that after starting the chain does not start rotating. In order for the product to move, the handbrake is returned to the reverse position. Before starting the model, it is put on the brake.

It is also important to fix the product on a flat surface. This will prevent it from jerking when the engine is started.

Startup sequence:

1. The chain brake is released.
2. To turn on the ignition, use a special button or switch.

4. The front handle is taken with the left hand and pressed down a little. The right handle has a protective shield. It should be stepped on.
5. With your free hand you pull the handle towards you. It is recommended to act smoothly. As soon as the pawls of the mechanism engage with the drum clutch, you need to make a sharp jerk.
6. When the first flash occurs, the air damper returns to its previous position.Run the tool again.

When the engine starts running, you can add gas and release the throttle lever.

Possible startup problems

Even if all starting rules are followed, the chainsaw may not start. This occurs due to several problems. If there is no spark in the spark plug, it must either be dried or completely replaced.

When difficulties arise with supplying fuel to the filter, it is enough to blow out the fuel hose or filter. If this does not help, the parts should be replaced with new ones.

The air or fuel filter may also become clogged. High quality cleaning will be required.
