To secure it, you need to insert it into the grooves and tighten the special screws. The main thing is to remember that the canvas must be well stretched so as not to damage it during operation. 2. There are also professional types of hand tools. They are used when you have to work for a long time, and the cut must be clean and even. The peculiarity of such tools is a comfortable handle, as well as a mechanism for quickly replacing the saw element.If you need to cut something very often, then it is better to use just such models.
3. Hacksaw-handle. The appearance of this tool resembles a staple. They do not need to have great physical strength to work. It is used exclusively in places where the usual variety simply cannot be used. Due to its design, it is also possible to install broken blades into a bench saw.

In the assortment of stores you can find hacksaws, the operation of which depends on electricity. Their productivity, of course, is much higher, but in terms of mobility and autonomy they are much inferior to mechanical types.

Features of using a hacksaw

To work with the tool comfortably, you need to stand half-sided in front of the vice. The left foot should be in front. She is the support one. The harder it is, the more pressure is needed. If the blade is not stretched tightly enough, the tool often moves to the side. This can negatively affect not only the evenness of the cut, but also the integrity of the cutting element itself. If this happens, it is better to back off and start a new cut. If you try to correct a cut that has gone to the side, this will lead to damage.

Improper hardening of the hacksaw blade contributes to tooth breakage. This can happen if the tool is pressed very hard or if the metal has inclusions of harder particles.

If even one of the teeth breaks, it is better to immediately change the blade, because others will break behind it. You can use the old one, but then it will need to be restored first. To do this, grind down the nearest teeth near the broken tooth. It will be enough to grind off two or three. After this procedure, you can use the canvas again.
