Printer nozzles: what are they?
The nozzle is the printing element on the print head. There are many such elements. They also have another name - nozzles. Ink leaks out of the workers during the process of printing a document.
What are nozzles for?
These are small holes through which ink flows out. The latter are used for printing text or photos. The printer gives a specific command to the nozzles, so that ink flows out only at a certain moment (for example, it is necessary to skip spaces or paragraphs). If the holes become clogged, the quality of the text will deteriorate. Then they need to be cleaned.
Reference! The number of nozzles in one device can be more than a hundred, and in modern expensive models there are more than a thousand.
How to use
Nozzles are used in the process of printing documents. But you can check the holes themselves:
- We go to “Start”.
- Open the “Control Panel”.
- Go to the “Printers and Faxes” tab. (Depending on the version of Windows, this may be called Devices and Printers).
- A window will open. We are looking for our device on it. If the device is connected to the computer right now, its name should appear in bold. But remember The computer highlights all devices that are currently connected to it.
- We find the printer we need. Click on the name with the right mouse button. Select “Print Settings”.
- A window opens where we need to go to the “Service” tab (most often the fifth in a row of tabs).
- There will be several buttons there. We are looking for “Nozzle check”. We read the description for it.
- We press the button.
- An information window will open. After reviewing, you must click “Print”.
- The last window displays “Nozzle Test Standard”. It will show you if they need cleaning. We have two buttons - “Done” and “Clean”.
- If they are cleared, we should have a printed document. If not, click on the “Clean” button.
It is not recommended to do several cleanings in a row, as there is a risk of clogging the diaper counter. It is recommended to do a second cleaning a couple of hours after the first. More often than not, the quality of the document is already good.
