Reasons for the lack of sound in one earphone

Most headphones use a 3.5 mm mini jack connector. This format is considered standard. Problems with the plug can consist of either broken contacts or damage to the head itself.

Software problem

It is possible that the headset is not working properly due to a glitch in the Windows settings. If the headphones are connected to the phone, you should try updating the system. If the problem is not resolved, then the problem is hardware in nature.

If the headset is connected to a computer, you should update the drivers for the sound card. In order to update the software, you must take the following steps:

1. Find out the sound card model. To do this, open “Start” - “Control Panel” - “Sound” - “Playback”. In the lists of connected devices, select the required headset and click “Properties” and find the sub-item “Controller” - “Properties”. In the menu that opens, click “Driver” and look at the model of the connected component.
2. Go to the official website of the company that manufactured the existing sound card. Select the required model and download the new version of drivers.
3. Follow the simple instructions to install the new software.

ATTENTION! You should also check the levels and balance settings of the connected device. To do this, open “Start” - “Control Panel” - “Sound”, right-click on the required device “Properties” - “Levels” - “Balance”. After this, a menu will open in which you can adjust the volume of the right and left channels.

If the Bluetooth earphone fails

Unlike conventional headsets, wireless ones have a more complex design. If there is no sound on one of the headphones, you should try to activate the software update, and also try to reboot the paired devices.

If the problem persists, the earphone may be faulty. It is very difficult to repair it manually and requires special skills and knowledge from the user. If the device has not been subjected to physical impact, it can be taken to a service center, where the headset, with a valid warranty, will be repaired free of charge.

Under no circumstances should you try to open the casing of wireless headphones yourself. If the case is opened or there are external influences on the device, warranty service centers will refuse repairs.
