Microphone not working in PUBG
The microphone is an important component for team communication. It allows you to communicate the messages needed to make a plan. But there are times when the microphone does not work and it becomes impossible to send voice messages. There are several reasons why the microphone may not work.

Why the microphone does not work in pubg
There are two reasons why the microphone may not be working. First, it is not possible to establish contact between the game and the microphone (the PUBG mobile emulator cannot access the latter). Second, the connection does not work where you live. In the first case, we do the following:
- Call a friend before starting PUBG.
- Launch the app and stay connected.
- Start searching for a match or create a team by inviting friends.
- Drop the call. Access to the microphone must be maintained. This will allow coordinated actions.
To make a call, it is not necessary to use paid systems; free ones, such as Viber, are also suitable. You can first launch the game, minimize it, turn on the microphone, and then expand PUBG.
There is another method that will work for both cases. To do this we use a VPN:
- First you need to find a VPN. Depending on the browser, we use the App Store or other application stores.
- Having opened the VPN, click start or establish a connection (Connect button).
- This will allow the data to be redirected through a server in another country.
- Let's start the game again.
How to fix problems
When playing in a team, a microphone is a must, as communication helps to establish contact with others, drawing up a plan for joint actions. But there are times when other players cannot hear you.
Microphone is not working. There are many problems and breakdowns that can cause this phenomenon:
- You need to disable Firewall in the program. A firewall does not protect against threats well, but can block devices and features.
- If you have a VPN installed, you should disable it. It may cause microphone problems. At the same time, if the user is not using a VPN and the microphone is not working, it should be turned on. The fact is that some countries block access to certain protocols. A VPN helps you avoid being blocked by showing your computer's fake location. To install a VPN, you need to find one of the programs on the Internet, register in it and run it. Exiting the mode is very simple, find the VPN icon in the upper right corner of the browser window and right-click on it. You will see a window where you can select the option to log out.
- Disable the “SIP ALG” function on the router. Disabling instructions vary depending on the device model, and if you don’t have one, try searching for ways to disable it on the Internet.
- There are times when the chat does not work during or after an update. To avoid system overloads, developers often perform reboots, and after that it takes some time to repair the chat. You need to go to the developer's website and check if they have made any updates. If the updates happened recently, and after that the microphone stopped working, write to support.
- You also need to check the microphone plug.It often moves away and this blocks the transmission of sounds.
Reference! Check what other devices are connected to your computer. The microphone may interfere with web cameras, portable media, and various recording devices. If there are too many of these devices, the computer may overload and as a result the microphone will not work correctly.
Can't hear others. If you can’t hear other PUBG mobile players, the situation is a little different. Most likely, you won't be able to hear enemies, and you won't know when to use the first aid kit. If you cannot hear others, do the following:
- Try all the steps described in the previous section. They can also affect audio performance.
- Check the work of the talking shop. To do this, press the combination “Crtl + T”.
- Try restarting the VPN. Disable it and then turn it on.
- Check your cache.
How to properly set up a microphone in pubg
To start a conversation, you need to press the T button. If this is inconvenient, you can set any other one in the settings.
To begin, select a chat channel. This is necessary so that the system knows who exactly your message is intended for (for example, only the player standing next to you or the entire team). We need:
- Open settings.
- Go to the “Sound” menu.
- There will be a “Mode” item. We indicate whether we want to hear other players.
- The “Channel” item will allow us to set the required channel. There are two choices: general and team. The first allows all players to hear your message (and enemies too). The second is intended only for your team.
It is recommended to set up a command channel, since the times when you need to send a message to the enemy are quite rare. To change the channel you do not need to go into the settings again. You can use the key combination “Ctrl+Y”. It's better to speak when pressing a button. This will allow you to avoid leaning towards the microphone in order to send a message; the clarity of sounds will be high even at a short distance. If you don’t like others screaming or making unpleasant sounds, you can turn off the chat by pressing “Ctrl+T”. But this means you won't be able to hear your enemies.
